WASHINGTON, D.C.  (November 2016) —Many have heard of the legend of Fashion Santa; the fit, strikingly handsome version of Kris Kringle. Now, the Washington, DC community has the chance to snap photos with Fashion Santa and share their luxe wishes as he makes his way to town on Thursday, December 1 to ring in the holiday season at The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown.

Fashion Santa, portrayed by model/actor Paul Mason, has become quite famous since his debut in Montreal two years ago.  The international press has embraced the idea of a handsome Santa with a trim physique, tailored clothes, and a huge heart.  On December 1 from 7pm to 9pm, Fashion Santa will host a joyous reception at The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown to benefit the new Humane Rescue Alliance, recently formed by The Washington Humane Society and the Washington Animal Rescue League.   Guests will have the opportunity to have their photo snapped with Fashion Santa for a donation of $20, and receive a gift bag of beauty treats from Saks Fifth Avenue.  Executive Chef Tyler Thaxton will offer seasonal hors d’oeuvres – including Smoked Trout Crostini, Porchetta Sliders and a selection of fresh oysters – and artisanal cocktails, such as the Political Gambler (Spice Infused DC Green Hat Gin, Lime Juice, Maple Syrup and Soda Water) and the Peruvian Hemingway (Pineapple Infused Pisco, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Luxardo Cherry), for the evening.

Nestled in the toney Georgetown neighborhood, The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown is the most historic boutique hotel in the area.  With its iconic smokestack, well-appointed guest rooms and sophisticated urban retreat of a lobby lounge – affectionately known as The Living Room – the hotel is a cozy haven for locals and world travelers alike.

The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown is also gearing up for the launch of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Georgetown in January, 2017. The Spa is an intimate, discreet luxury Spa in the heart of Georgetown.
