ARLINGTON, VA. – March 2, 2017 – Celebrate the annual Cherry Blossom season with special offerings from The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual celebration that signifies spring in Washington, DC and recognizes the seasonal bloom of Cherry Trees gifted to the United States from Japan in 1912. The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City will honor the festivities by offering a sakura influenced seasonal menu in fyve Restaurant, Spring into Summer Overnight Package, along with Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea and Signature Cherry Blossom Cocktails.

Chef Alexander Gut’s Cherry Blossom menu pays homage to the beautiful sakura blossoms by incorporating them into each dish in fyve’s seasonal menu. Sakura infused, house made soba noodles with tsuyu sauce; seared black cod with miso broth, enoki mushrooms, with bok choy and picked sakura will be available for lunch and dinner in fyve, through April 15.

Dessert features collaboration between The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City and The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto. The collaboration inspired Caroline Ballam, pastry chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City create a beautiful zen garden bento dessert that captures the true essence of sakura and authentic Japanese elements. In addition, The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City will offer sakura influenced cocktails and cherry blossom afternoon tea.

Guests traveling to experience the Cherry Blossom festivities will find comfort in the Spring into Summer overnight package, available through September, 2017.
