What is The Ritz-Carlton Rewards?

The Ritz-Carlton is consistently recognized as providing the finest personalized service. The Ritz-Carlton Rewards has been created to further the guest experience and is a truly distinctive luxury guest loyalty program that gives guests access to the extraordinary. With The Ritz-Carlton Rewards program, you have the opportunity to enjoy the very best of everything we have to offer as you accrue points or airlines miles with each stay at participating Ritz-Carlton properties. You can earn 10 pts or two airline miles for every U.S. dollar spent on your room rate. Points can be redeemed for complimentary hotel stays, exclusive partnership benefits or for travel with more than 20 airline programs around the world.

What is the advantage of joining?

As a member of The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, you will have access to truly unique, memorable, and personal experiences that have been carefully designed to bring together some of the most exclusive names in luxury travel and retail. By joining, you will enjoy a variety of exclusive member benefits and access to special events. Members will be issued membership cards, receive member communications exclusively from The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, and receive personalized recognition during your stays at The Ritz-Carlton hotels.

How do I enroll?

There are four ways guests can join the program:

Enrollment in the program is complimentary.

Who are the participating partners?

The Ritz-Carlton Rewards will have luxury brand partnerships to be announced. In addition, through the partnership with Marriott Rewards, members of The Ritz-Carlton Rewards may earn airline miles on more than 20 airlines that participate in the Marriott Rewards program as well as the Marriott family of participating hotels worldwide.

What is the relationship with Marriott Rewards?

The Ritz-Carlton Rewards partners with Marriott Rewards – the world’s leading hotel loyalty program – to offer Elite benefits, earning opportunities and redemption options at more than 3,300 participating Marriott hotels worldwide. The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members do not need to join Marriott Rewards to earn points with Marriott hotels – simply provide your Ritz-Carlton Rewards membership number at time of reservation.  

Can guests belong to both The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Marriott Rewards?

No, guests cannot be members of both programs at the same time. However, guests can change membership from one program to the other by contacting Guest Services. Please note that members of The Ritz-Carlton Rewards do not need to join Marriott Rewards to earn points/miles and receive Elite benefits during their stays at the Marriott family of brands. Similarly, Marriott Rewards members will earn points/miles and receive Elite benefits during their stays at participating Ritz-Carlton hotels.

What brands participate in The Ritz-Carlton Rewards?

Members can earn and redeem points or air miles across participating Ritz-Carlton hotels. Additionally, through a partnership with Marriott Rewards, members can earn and redeem points at the Marriott family of participating hotels worldwide.

Will The Ritz-Carlton Rewards offer an Elite program? What are the Elite levels?

Yes, members earn elite status based on the number of personal night stays within a calendar year at The Ritz-Carlton and the Marriott family of participating hotels worldwide. The elite levels and renewal and achievement requirements are the same with The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Marriott Rewards:

  • Silver: 10 nights
  • Gold: 50 nights
  • Platinum: 75 nights

How do I earn points or miles for stays?

To earn points or miles for stays at The Ritz-Carlton, please provide your account number when you call Ritz-Carlton Reservations, contact your travel professional, or enter the number when making reservations online at

I have an existing reservation, as a new member of The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, can I add my account information to the reservation to earn points for the stay?

Yes. Call The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Guest Services at 866-922-6882 for assistance in the US/Canada.

Can I make a reservation using a combination of cash and points?

Yes. As a member of The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, you may combine redemption nights and cash nights within a single reservation of two nights of more.

Beginning in 2016, you will be able to combine points and cash for a single night stay or for multiple nights – starting with as few as 15,000 points for a single night.

How do I reserve a stay using a combination of cash and points?

To use this option, first, check “Use Rewards Points” in the reservations window. When the reservation form opens, select your room type/points for your stay. Then check the “Use cash and points” box. This will open a calendar for you to:

  • Select your cash nights and your redemption (points) nights
  • Explore different rate combinations
  • Select to see the best suggested rate combinations
  • Receive a complimentary 5th redemption night
  • Book available PointSavers® rates and exclusive member offers
  • Add additional days to a trip


What is Points Advance?

Member can book a redemption stay even if they don’t have enough points at the time of booking. Members need to earn or purchase any missing points at least 14 days prior to check-in.  

When can a member use Points Advance?

Points Advance is available to members now. Members are able to make reservations via and will be alerted of the need to accumulate points before their stay.

What happens if a member doesn’t have enough points within 14 days of their arrival?

If a member does not accumulate enough points for the reservation seven days or more from the arrival date, the reservation will be canceled and the member must call 1-800-MARRIOTT or 1-800-952-2027 to re-book the reservation at the best available rate at that time.

What if the guest arrives at the hotel without accumulating sufficient points within 14 days of my reservation?

The reservation would have been canceled so you the member would be arriving at the hotel without a reservation. The ability to stay at the hotel will be based on availability and the member would be required to pay that day’s rate for any available room.


What is Points Sharing?

Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members can share points with friends and family. Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members can send up to 50,000 points to or from their account each year.

When will Points Sharing be available?

Members can share points beginning October 12, 2015.

Who can members share points with and what information is required?

Members can share up to 50,000 points per year with any existing Marriott Rewards or The Ritz-Carlton Rewards member with an account in good standing. Members will need to have enough points and need to provide the account number and the first & last name of the account holder with whom they would be sharing points.

How do members share points?

Members must contact Customer Care. Members must provide the account number and the first & last name of the account holder with whom they will be sharing your points. Provided they have not reached the maximum limit for the year the agent will transfer the points.

Is there a charge?

There is no charge for Gold and Platinum members. Silver and Basic members will be charged a flat $10 fee per transaction, regardless of the number of points shared.


To whom does this benefit apply?

All members will receive Elite night credit for redemption stays at all participating hotels within the Marriott portfolio.

Will a credit be applied for past redemption stays?

No, redemption stays beginning November 1, 2015 and moving forward will earn Elite night credit. No previous redemption stays will be credited.

What do I need to do to ensure that the Elite night credit for a redemption stay beginning on or after November 1, 2015 is applied?

Nothing! Our systems will automatically credit the Rewards account with one Elite night stay for each redemption room night utilized. This will show as Elite night credit in the member’s online account.

How many Elite night credits will members earn on redemption stays at participating Ritz-Carlton hotels?

Members will earn one Elite night credit per redeemed night.  

What brands are participating in redemption stay Elite night credit? 

Participating brands include: JW Marriott®, Renaissance® Hotels, Autograph Collection® Hotels, Marriott Hotels®, Marriott Executive Apartments®, Gaylord Hotels®, and AC Hotels by Marriott®, EDITION®, Marriott Vacation Club®, Courtyard®, Residence Inn®, SpringHill Suites®, Fairfield Inn & Suites®, TownePlace Suites®, and Moxy Hotels® as well as Marriott Rewards’ exclusive luxury partner, The Ritz-Carlton. This benefit is not available at hotels that do not participate in the Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards Program.


Will Cash + Points be available for members of both The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® and Marriott Rewards®?

Yes, The Ritz-Carlton® hotels participate in Cash + Points. However, all hotels may not be participating in Cash + Points on all dates.

Which Marriott® Brands participate in the Cash + Points program?

Cash + Points is a global program and all brands participate—JW Marriott®, EDITION®, Autograph Collection® Hotels, Renaissance® Hotels, AC Hotels by Marriott®, Marriott Hotels®, Delta Hotels and Resorts®, Gayloard Hotels®, Courtyard by Marriott®, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott®, Springhill Suites by Marriott®, Residence Inn by Marriott®, TownePlace Suites by Marriott®, Protea Hotels®, Moxy Hotels®, and Marriott Vacation Club®.

While all brands are eligible to participate, all hotels may not be participating in Cash + Points on all dates.

Does Cash + Points follow No Blackout Dates?

No, members can redeem their points for Cash + Points at participating Ritz-Carlton hotels and Marriott brand hotels based on availability. Participation varies by hotel.

Will I earn Elite night credits with Cash + Points?

Yes, you will earn one Elite night credit for every night redeemed and stayed using Cash + Points.

Will I earn points on the cash portion of Cash + Points?

No, members do not earn points on the cash portion of the NEW Cash + Points.

Will Cash + Points count toward “Redeem 4 Nights, Get the 5th Night Free”?

No, Cash + Points will not count toward “Redeem 4 Nights, Get the 5th Night Free.”

Do Cash + Points amounts fluctuate?

No, Cash + Points amounts remain the same within each hotel category.  

Are e-certificates available for the Cash + Points program?

Yes, they are available, and, as always, you'll need to have advance reservations for Cash + Points.

How can members use their points?

How do members redeem points for a complimentary night stay?

Members can book a redemption stay at The Ritz-Carlton by calling Ritz-Carlton Reservations. To redeem points for a stay at a Marriott hotel, members can call Marriott Reservations or book the reservation online at  

How do I find out the number of points needed for a complimentary night stay?

Guests can explore hotel reward options and view point requirements online at The Ritz-Carlton properties are assigned a hotel tier which requires a specific amount of points for a complimentary night.

Will The Ritz-Carlton Rewards offer No Blackout Dates?

Yes. The Ritz-Carlton hotels will make standard rooms available for redemptions every day. Hotels may limit the number of standard rooms available for redemption on a limited number of days.

I have an existing redemption reservation through Marriott Rewards and I have received the certificate. Do I need to order a new certificate?

No. Certificates that have already been ordered will be honored for upcoming reservations, and must be presented upon check-in.


Where can members view their account information online?

Members can go to to view their accounts and profile information, including future stays and past earnings.

How will members receive their account summary?

Members can view their account and profile information online by going to All stays at all participating Ritz-Carlton and the Marriott family of participating hotels worldwide will be shown on the member’s account summary.

May I request a full accounting or folio of my hotel stay?

Yes. As a Rewards member, once you subscribe to eFolio, your hotel folio will be automatically emailed to you following each stay.  

Can I access my hotel folio online?

Yes. Hotel folios for previous stays will appear in a member’s online account within 48 to 72 hours following checkout for hotel stays throughout the U.S. and Canada. To access, sign in and go to the Account Activity tab in My Account.
