Sintra, January 12 —Penha Longa Resort is showcasing its unique brand of sweet inspiration at the internationally renowned Lisbon Chocolate Festival from 31 January to 3 February.

The highly imaginative The Chocolate by Penha Longa brand features an indulgent variety of chocolate desserts, bonbons, bars, ingots and even lipsticks all created by Portugal’s very own Willy Wonka, Francisco Siopa, Head Pastry Chef at the resort.

Francisco is famous for the creation of 365 varieties of chocolate — one for each day of the year — in addition to gourmet experiences such as the resort’s best-selling Midori Bonbon featuring rice wine vinegar, dark chocolate and Normandy cream.

Visitors to the Lisbon Chocolate Festival will be able to savour eight of the resort’s most successful chocolate desserts, including The Pear, The Pine Cone and The Bomb in addition to chocolate bonbons featuring 14 unique flavours such as foie gras, limoncello truffle, timut pepper, Roquefort, kaffir lime and aniseed.

Every delicious indulgence in The Chocolate by Penha Longa range is created using Criollo cocoa from Mexico and Cuba which is renowned for its rarity and exquisite flavour.
