For guests who want to experience a taste of old Florida's natural preserves, Grande Lakes' interpretive eco-tours offer professionally guided canoe or kayak tours of Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades. Guests can learn about the history of Shingle Creek and observe the native species such as alligators, bald eagles, osprey and barred owls in their natural habitat from a safe distance.

Eco-Tour on Shingle Creek

Traveling back in time on Shingle Creek, guests will enjoy a two-hour guided Eco-Tour. Professionally trained Florida Master Naturalist Eco Tour Guides will tell you the story of Shingle Creek and all its inhabitants as you navigate your own canoe, while paddling through scenic Old Florida.

$60 adults; $40 children 17 and younger (with an adult). Available every day at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., reservations required. Maximum 15 guests per excursion

Pedal Boat and Kayak Rentals

Explore Grande Lake on a pedal boat or kayak.  

12 - 4 p.m. daily. Must be 18 to rent.
