MUSA – Underwater Museum

Dive in the first underwater museum in Mexico and the largest in the world. Designed by artist Jason de Caires, its motto is to foster the conservation of the largest coral reef in the Americas. With over 400 sculptures, MUSA invites colorful fishes, corals and marine life to form around this unique art collection. Snorkel and diving tours are available. MUSA is an ongoing project and when completed will exhibit over 2,000 sculptures.

Distance: A 5 minute drive to the pier, followed by a 30 minute boat ride to Isla Mujeres


Discover the ancient history and culture of Cancun’s traditional inhabitants at this state-of-the-art museum. The Maya Cancun Museum offers ancient historical relics and expansive exhibition spaces in a modern environment. The multi-million-dollar project is the culmination of 30 years of collecting, and holds 350 Mayan artifacts.

Tulum is an ancient fortress that sits atop cliffs and offers a breathtaking view overlooking the Caribbean. The most important buildings are El Castillo, The Templo del Dios Descendente and the Templo de los Frescos, with interior paintings of many Mayan Gods, as well as some sacred elements like rain, corn and fish.

Distance: 80 miles/1 hour and 30 minutes drive

Cozumel is the largest Caribbean island in Mexico as well as one of the country's top spots for tourism. The island, which gets its name from the Mayan word "Cuzamil" meaning "Island of Swallows," focuses on tourist activities as its primary source of income. As the island is covered with mangrove forest you will find many endemic animal species.

Distance: 43 Miles to Playa del Carmen Pier and 47 miles boat trip to Cozumel/ 1 hour and 35 minutes


Hidden deep inside the jungle of Eastern Yucatan Peninsula the ancient city of Cobá stretches over 100 square kilometers/60 square miles. Having thrived during the Classic period between 250 – 900 AD, the area contains two adjacent lagoons that shelter migratory and endemic bird species, as well as reptiles.

The ancient pyramids and temples of Chichen-Itza were once the foundation of one of the Yucatan’s most vigorous city during the 10th to 12th centuries. Exploring the site by foot and walking through some of the impressive structures is the best way to experience the beauty and architecture of this majestic landmark.

Kukulcan Plaza and Luxury Avenue

Kukulcan Plaza is an indoor mall in Cancun and is just minutes away from The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun. The mall has 250 unique shops and boutiques such as Mont Blanc, Fendi and Cartier, among many others. Guests looking for a selection of Signature shops will be pleased with their findings. Along with an enticing selection of delectable restaurants, this is truly a shopper’s delight.

La Isla Shopping Mall

Surrounded by a beautiful lagoon, this shopping mall is located a short drive from The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun. La Isla Shopping Village creates a Caribbean atmosphere with indoor and outdoor stores, restaurants, cafes and attractions.

Mercado 23

Mercado 23 is one of Cancun’s first traditional markets. You will not only find food but also Mexican handicrafts typical from the region. The market is located in the Center of Cancun.

Swimming with the Whale Shark

Water Jungle Safari
