CANCUN, QUINTANA ROO – November, 2017 – The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, is proud to announce the appointment of Aali Ghufran, as Director of Sales & Marketing.

A British national, Aali Ghufran joins the team at The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun after successfully launching The St. Regis Langkawi, Malaysia as Pre-opening / Opening Director of Sales & Marketing.

Having worked in Asia, Middle-East, Europe and North America, Aali brings over 19 years of global experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Aali began his career with Marriott International in the US in 2001, following which he joined the opening team at Marriott’s London Sales Office in the UK, where Aali managed a portfolio of 22 hotels. Previous management experiences include international roles at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces and InterContinental Hotels Group.

A graduate of Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland, Aali later pursued a Master’s Degree in International Hospitality & Tourism Management from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, UK.

The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun has recently updated its image to appeal ‘to the modern Ritz-Carlton traveler, while paying homage to the culture and traditions of Mexico’. Aali Ghufran’s appointment comes at a time when The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun is set to celebrate its Silver Jubilee in 2018.
