COHIBA
One of the youngest cigar brands, although it could also be the oldest one. When Columbus
arrived in Cuba in 1942, Cuban Aborigines smoked a coarse roll of leaves called Cohiba. It is widely regarded that Cohiba is synonymous with an excellence of the highest degree when it comes to cigars. Each Cohiba is a work of art: hand made cigars of the best leaves harvested in unique Vegas located in the Vuelta Abajo area, famous for the excellent quality of its tobacco. Rigorous selection explains why Cohibas are not produced in big quantities. The first Cohiba cigars appeared in 1966 and rapidly became a favorite of all of those privileged to taste it. But Cohibas were not sold at tobacco outlets or cigar shops; each box was a personal present of the president of the republic Cuba. This was the situation until 1982, when Cohiba entered the market with its well known Esplendidos and Robustos Vitolas. In 1992, to mark the fifth centennial of the discovery of America, the 1942 line waslaunched.

H. UPMANN
The history of this brand began around 1840, when Herman Upmann, banker and almost fanatical cigar enthusiast, offered to open a branch of his family-owned bank in Havana Cuba. In 1844, he (not surprisingly) invested in a cigar factory, and from then until 1922, the company traded as both a bank and a cigar business. In that year, both companies failed, and a British firm, J. Frankau & Co., saved the brand and ran the cigar factory until 1935. It was then sold to the newly-founded Menendez y Garcia Company. And so it was that a legend was re-born.
Characteristically, Upmanns offer a smooth, subtle, mild to medium smoke. These cigars are great for beginners, but appeal to the day-time tastes of seasoned connoisseurs. Their larger sizes are among the most rare and sought-after cigars in the world.
CORONAS MAJOR
This cigar has excellent construction, very adequate draw, the overall taste is
medium bodied, very manly. The 3 thirds can definitely be defined, cocoa, cedar,
earth, pepper. A very professionally crafted cigar for the smoker who wants a
quick, before meal, or with Sunday morning coffee smoke.
MONARCAS

that H. Uppman hallmark taste. A kick of herbal flavors becomes apparent in the
second phase of the cigar balanced by the clean, strong tobacco flavors. A feat of
balance!

second and third tier, the main blend is present with medium to strong tobacco
flavors remaining dominant. It is a classic 'Old School' Havana taste.

locked away in a dimly lit smoking club. A great treat during the day or with
an apéritif. Tasty and smooth.
HOYO DOUBLE CORONAS
MONTECRISTO
In Havana people rightly said that cigar makers had the greatest ‘ear culture’ of the world. They were well versed in history, philosophy, and spoke gracefully and with ease. In courts the judge would always ask if the individual was a cigar roller, and if so, allowed them to present their own case. Cigar makers became wise listening to the lectors, workers in charge of reading novels out loud during work hours. The count of Montecristo was one of their favorites and in 1935, Austrian Alonso Menandez registered the Montecristo brand. Today Montecristo is a brand of rare cigars, rolled with chosen leaves from the Vuelta Abajo Vega. Montecristos are usually dark brown, strong, tough cigars.
No. 1
Medium with angry, aromatic flavor. It burns evenly and does not overwhelm
the palate.
No. 2
This is a smooth cigar with a sweet taste. Its elegant, discrete quality does not
prevent it from revealing its woody, spicy self in the last third. Its smoothness
remains a constant throughout the experience. Never corrosive, it is an easy
aromatic corona.
No. 3
The cigar’s extraordinarily massive production is testament to its tremendous
commercial success.
No. 4

serious, it is without any doubt a big habano in a small body.
EDMUNDO
Named after Edmundo Dantes, hero of Alexandro Dumas' famous novel "The
Count of Montecristo", the Edmundo is the first size to be added to Montecristo's
standard range since 1971. It still keeps true to its Monte 'tang', but incorporates
a lot more strong leather and roasted nuts to that of a cohiba.

A Superb construction, always with the Maduro wrapper, the Monte ‘C’ is creamy
and rich. The sophisticated development will find greater appreciation among the
experienced palate. A real festive cigar.
PUNCH
The traditional Havana cigar brand in the British market. Since the moment Don Manuel Lopez registered the brand in 1840, it has earned a solid reputation in the competitive international market. Punch was a witty English publication in which a character by the name was always doing his tricks. The labels still feature a contented Mr. Punch with a cigar in his hand, sitting next to his dog.
DOUBLE CORONAS
Mild to medium with spicy and earthy aroma.
ROYAL CORONATION
Excellent, complex flavor, slightly sweet with a touch of spice on the exhale.
For a small cigar it has a very long, slow burn.
ROMEO Y JULIETA
Don Inocencio Alvarez registered the brand in 1875 and sold it in 1900. Following several changes in ownership the company commenced producing their famous Shakespearian brands in 1940 headed by Fernandez Rodriguez, or “Pepin”, who used all his savings to buy the company in 1903. Until then consumption of these fine cigars was limited to the domestic market. Romeo y Julietta are medium strong fortaleza cigars of a dark brown leaves, compact ashes, no apagones, and many different vitolas capable of meeting the most diverse and demanding tastes.

on a very incisive second third that made its reputation. A demanding cigar for
experienced smokers who can also appropriate its fresher version without the tube.

Starts off slowly and builds, exploring the spicy/sweet flavors before delving in to
the more sophisticated woody aspects of Cuban aromas. This will go on getting

HOYO DE MONTERREY
This brand was created by Jose Gener. Born in Tarragona, Spain, Gener came to Cuba in 1844, and in 1860 bought the Hoyo de Monterrey farm in San Juan in Martinez (Vuelta Abajo area). This farm gave its name to the cigar genre manufactured with leaves grown from these vegas. Nevertheless, he waited five years before registering the brand. Hoyo de Monterrey preserves its traditional presentation. The Havana cigars are spongy, have a good draw, and excellent combustion. Their light flavor does not include an excess of light tobacco
in their blend.
EPICURE No. 2
Its floral bouquet, brought out by the touch of gingerbread, opens on a completely
unexpected, but pleasing, fresh and dry note. A little short for an after-lunch cigar,
it is more suited to a brisk walk in the outdoors.
DOUBLE CORONAS
These are excellent, smooth, medium bodied cigars. They have a rich, satisfying
taste. They are great after a good meal.
PARTAGAS
Undoubtedly one of the most famous brands of Havana cigars, an initiative of Catalonian businessman Jaime Partagas, who settled in Havana in 1872.
