The Feeding of the Horses is a noontime ritual, a Moment in Time that celebrates the hotel’s unrivaled location on the Park. The ritual is an opportunity to feed the iconic Central Park Carriage Horses in signature Ritz-Carlton fashion. Details can be coordinated through the concierge.

Staying at The Ritz Carlton New York, Central Park, guests have the opportunity to wake up to breathtaking views of Central Park from their guest rooms. Spend the day at the park and meet the wildlife that live at the Central Park Zoo. Guests can feed penguins and sea lions or explore the programs and tours that are offered for everyone. Sea lion feeding and presentation: 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. Whether they’re high-fiving their trainers, showing off their flips, or catching fish on the fly, the charismatic sea lions love to impress a crowd Meet the keepers: During the feedings, zookeepers demonstrate how they check the sea lions’ bodies, teeth, and vision, and give other routine care.

See the bears from a new perspective: Viewing areas are located at three levels: underwater, at rock-level, and from above.

A short 10 minute walk from the hotel, the museum offers a variety of contemporary as well as historical pieces that everyone can enjoy. In fact, admission is free for all visitors during Target Free Friday Nights, held every Friday evening from 4-8 p.m. Hours Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tuesday: Closed Wednesday: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Thursday: 10:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m. Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday: 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

During the tour, guests have the opportunity to see The Wollman Rink, Pond, Zoo, Sheep Meadow, Historical statues, the Carousel, and the Dakota. The Horse Drawn Carriages are available all year round and there are a couple of different kinds of rides to choose from. Guests may choose between a walk-ups or pre-arranged carriage rides depending on their needs. A Standard Carriage Ride costs $50 plus tip for the first 20 minutes (per carriage) Carriage Capacity: 4 adults per carriage 3 adults & 2 kids under the age 12 1 adult & 4 kids under the age 12 Hours: Mon- Fri rides start at 10 a.m. Sat & Sun rides start at 9 a.m. Night rides go until at least 2 a.m.
