If you have heard about a new workout, it likely started in NYC. The city’s studios offer the latest innovations in exercise.

Radio City Rockette-turned trainer Amanda Kloots teaches three signature classes including The Rope, a 55-minute session where a jump rope, and a smile, is all that’s needed. Classes are held at two NYC studios.

Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson gained a following with her workouts that focus on strengthening small, accessory muscles. She shares her secrets with the public through classes at her studios, including the newest on 59th Street.

Aimed toward athletes and those who want to train like them, this studio offers classes that draw on sports conditioning and teamwork. Every day offers a different focus, from lower body to core training. The Upper East Side studio is the closest to the hotel.

This high-intensity, circuit-based workout promises to burn up to 1,000 calories in 45 minutes. Classes are team-oriented and focus on movements to strengthen the body for everyday living.

A block away from the hotel, this boutique fitness studio offers barre, yoga, HIIT and cardio classes. The space also houses a full-service spa and a boutique.
