The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch Recreation Program provides this opportunity through an expansive menu of activities and classes, accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Private Art in Nature Classes
Craft a personal and unique Colorado souvenir on your schedule! Groups small and large will love spending time together in their choice of outdoor or indoor spaces that ensure them the perfect private mountain ambiance. Pricing includes beverages, light snacks, and all craft supplies. Private activities may also be conducted at historical Anderson’s Cabin upon availability for an additional fee. Let the majestic Rockies be your inspiration as you spend the evening sipping wine and painting a rendition of the gorgeous alpine scenery. No painting experience is needed.

Our resort naturalist will guide you to the majestic views of Bachelor Gulch while sharing facts about the local flora and fauna. The guided hike is included in the resort fee for hotel guests and reservations are not required. Kindly note that this hike is weather permitting and that waterproof and weather appropriate attire is required.

Explore Beaver Creek Mountain on your own schedule and at your own pace as you hike with an expert naturalist guide who will enliven the experience with fascinating facts about the mountain plants and animals. This tour can be customized so that hikers of all ages and abilities can enjoy a wonderful walk through the woods.

Guided Hikes
Join our naturalist on a hike through Bachelor Gulch while learning about native plants and animals. Hikes are typically 1.5-2 hours in length and are offered as a hotel activity to all guests or as a private experience. All hikes are weather permitting and meet on the Mountainside Terrace unless an alternate location is arranged. Prices may vary and reservations are required for all private guided hikes.
Daily Guided Hikes

Advanced Hike

What did it take for the early settlers to survive? Learn basic survival techniques from a trained Resident Naturalist guide, from fire starting, orienteering, and more. Your guide will provide you with essential skills that will give you confidence on your next outdoor excursion.
Sunrise Hike
Start your day with an early morning hike up Bachelor Gulch to see the sunrise over the mountain peaks and spot the area’s inhabitants, including the Bighorn Sheep, Rocky Mountain Elk and Golden Eagle.
Signature Private Hike
Explore Beaver Creek Mountain on your own schedule and pace. This hike is tailored to your interests and abilities to create a one-of-a-kind experience.
Photography Hike
Taking advantage of the resort’s vibrant backdrop and bountiful Colorado setting, this opportunity features a hands-on, interactive photography workshop led by our resort naturalist.
Village-to-Village Tour
Explore aspen groves and evergreens in this 4 mile hike to Beaver Creek Village where you can enjoy the village offerings or ride the complimentary shuttle back to the resort.
Sunset Stroll
Watch the sunset and the night sky fill with stars as you learn about the emerging celestial wonders through the constellations’ myths and scientific revelations.
Perfectly Paired Picnic

Autumn is the perfect time to experience the majestic views of Bachelor Gulch while learning facts about the plants and animals that thrive here. Learn what triggers the aspen trees to change from verdant green to golden yellow and how the animals are preparing for the harsh winter season. Along the way, pause to breathe in the fresh mountain air and to capture the beauty with stunning photographs.

Explore Beaver Creek Mountain on your own schedule and at your own pace as you hike with an expert naturalist guide who will enliven the experience with fascinating facts about the mountain plants and animals. This tour can be customized so that hikers of all ages and abilities can enjoy a wonderful walk through the woods.
Village-to-Village Tour
Explore gorgeous aspen groves and thick evergreen stands on this trail that traverses the mountain to Beaver Creek Village. Once in the Village, stay for lunch and shopping or ride the complimentary shuttle back to the hotel with your guide. This route is approximately 4 miles.
Sunset Stroll
Set off on an excursion to watch the sunset; a great time for wildlife viewing. Then watch the night sky fill with stars as your guide brings celestial, plant and animal wonders to life.

Groups small and large will love spending time together relaxing and getting crafty with one of our unique art classes. Classes can be held in a variety of outdoor and indoor spaces to accommodate groups of different sizes and to create the perfect mountain ambiance for your event.
Painting can be enjoyed by guests of all ages and wood burning is available for guests ages 16+. Private classes include your choice of up to two alcoholic beverages for each adult and non-alcoholic beverages for those under drinking age as well as light snacks.

*Advanced reservations are strongly recommended as availability is limited.
*Programs cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee; failure to provide advanced notice of a cancellation will result in full charge of the program.
*Outdoor activities may be cancelled on short notice due to inclement or dangerous conditions. Cancellation is solely at the recreation department’s discretion.
*Please note that a 24% service charge will be added to all recreation activities.
