Signature food items feature a “Build Your Own Burger” menu and six delicious sliders: crab cake, barbecue pork, Philly steak, salmon, buffalo chicken and veggie. Other popular sides include wings, nachos, pizza, house-made potato parmesan chips and onion rings.

The bar’s name is a nod to Amelia Island’s history as the Isle of Eight Flags, the only place in the country to have been under the rule of eight different regimes since its discovery by the Spanish in 1562. Of course, the number eight has a storied legacy in the world of sports and games as well; it serves as the pivotal target in Eight Ball and has been worn by legendary baseball players Yogi Berra, Carl Yastrzemski, Willie Stargell and Cal Ripken, Jr.

Eight is open Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from noon to midnight. When games last later, the bar remains open.
