Baby it’s cold outside….escape the winter chill at Avery Bar, sit by the fireplace and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa. Choose from white, milk or dark chocolate then top your cocoa with a selection of candies, cookies and creams, served with scrumptious holiday sweets and pastries. Our pastry chefs will offer festive tips for children who will delight in decorating their own gingerbread men.

At the historic 150-year old Arlington Street Church in Boston’s Back Bay, renowned for having the largest collection of Tiffany windows in any one church, the Friday Night Supper Club is the source of great community pride. For over 50 years, warm and nourishing meals have been provided to Boston’s most vulnerable citizens every Friday evening. Join the team of volunteers to help prepare meals (11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or serve the meals (4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.). Children under the age of 18 are welcome to volunteer in the meal preparation segment and must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy a self guided tour of the church and its historic stained glass windows before the volunteer opportunity commences.

Ignite your desire for true love with Val Caniparoli's Lady of the Camellias. Based on Alexander Dumas' 19th-century French novel and set to the music of Chopin Lady of the Camellias follows the tragic affair of Marguerite, one of Paris' most sought-after courtesans, and Armand, a young gentleman from the country.

Dumas' novel, which he later reworked for the theatre, has inspired countless of stage and screen adaptations, including the opera La Traviata, Greta Garbo's magnificent Oscar nominated interpretation of Marguerite in Camille, and the 2001 movie Moulin Rouge.

Boston Ballet's staging of Caniparoli's Lady of the Camellias celebrates the 20th anniversary of the work.
