The red-brick walking trail leads you to 16 nationally significant historic sites, every one an authentic American treasure. Hosted by author and etiquette expert Judith Ré, of The Judith Ré Académie for Instruction in the Social Graces, and the service professionals of The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common, this innovative program invites young ladies and gentlemen to develop their social and personal skills. A Day of Social Savvy®
Class will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008: The day of activities includes instruction, demonstration and participation in the following areas: proper introductions, table setting and manners, food preparation and presentation, telephone and cell phone etiquette, thank-you note writing, polite conversation, health care, dancing and social “mishaps.”
A Day of Social Savvy® for children begins with a welcome gathering over hot chocolate and muffins, followed by a tour of The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common. This unique program includes the chance to work alongside the hotel’s pastry chef, preparing delicate desserts. The “hands-on” approach is emphasized throughout the day, enabling children not just to enjoy, but to actually create a proper social decorum. A Day of Social Savvy® culminates in an evening dance during which the children learn the art of ballroom dancing and experiment with some high energy and modern dance steps.
All activities are hosted within the hotel, where young ladies and gentlemen are taught the power of poise and grace, amidst the elegant function rooms and restaurants.

Class will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2008: Staying Connected with Manners in a Wireless World , addresses both the social skills needed in our ever-changing world, along with elements of traditional etiquette standards.
Hosted by the etiquette experts of The Judith Ré Académie for Instruction in the Social Graces and the service professionals of The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common, this innovative program invites young ladies and gentlemen, ages 8 through 12, to develop their social and personal skills.
Classes will be held from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday June 8, 2008. The day of activities includes instruction, demonstration and participation in the following areas: wireless responsibility in public vs. private areas, proper introductions, table setting and manners, food preparation and presentation, telephone and cell phone etiquette, thank-you note writing, polite conversation, health care, dancing and social “mishaps.”
