A source of beauty and nourishment, the Chilean palm tree faces extinction. Fundación Palma was founded in 1997 to preserve and restore this natural treasure. You will travel to Reserva Ecológica Oasis La Campana and its native forests, palm plantations, natural golf course, nurseries and environmental projects such as the sun chimney — a renewable energy project. You will meet with an agronomist, who will provide a tour and lectures throughout the day, and prepare you for planting two palm trees. Also included is a tour of the nurseries, where you will water, plant and fertilize different native plants and trees.
