Impact Experiences offers on-property activities that can be incorporated in the conference agenda during lunch breaks, receptions and coffee breaks, including:

  • Partnering with the hotel’s culinary team to prepare the ingredients for a regionally adapted dish for donation to a local hunger relief organization;

  • Assembling school supplies and art materials in backpacks for donation to students whose academic success is threatened by poverty;

  • Collaborating in teams to assemble emergency preparedness kits for shipping to a disaster relief facility or community organization;

The Nile River flows more than 4,000 miles through Africa and truly gives life to Egyptians as the country’s primary water source. Group guests can share environmental responsibility for this crucial lifeline by helping to care for and clean this culturally and historically significant waterway. Guests can also repair and paint the famous Qasr El Nil Bridge, the first bridge to cross the river.

Wedding venues can host every part of the celebration, from bridal showers to farewell brunches, and include downtown Cairo’s largest ballroom, which can host a banquet for more than 1,000 guests. The hotel’s view of the Egyptian Museum is the backdrop for outdoor venues, where couples can make their grand entrance under the stars. Conference and Hollow Square
Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.
E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape
Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
Theater
Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
Reception
Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
Schoolroom or Classroom
The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
