Osaka, Japan – June 3, 2019 – The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka has welcomed Mark Neukomm as the new General Manager of the 5-star luxury hotel which this year celebrates 22 years of excellence.

Mark graduated from Ecolehôtelièrede Lausanne, and started his career at The Ritz-Carlton in August, 2000. He joined The Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, and having a strong background and experience in F&B, he was assigned as EAM, F&B at The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka in June, 2002. He was subsequently promoted to Hotel Manager and to General Manager there.

In April 2010, Mark was transferred to The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain and to The Ritz-Carlton Moscow in August, 2014, where he put forth his leadership as General Manager.

Mark always wanted to come back to Japan, where he considers as his second home, and was appointed General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto in June 2016. With his strong focus on quality, the Japanese restaurant Tempura Mizuki achieved Michelin Star for two consecutive years and the hotel received Five-Star in the Forbes Travel Guide, also for two consecutive years. He also developed and initiated various activies which allowed guests to experience local culture and attractions in Kyoto, such as bicycle tour and jogging around the city.
