Whale Watching, Ocean Adventure Trips

Embrace your sea legs on a whale watching excursion and see first-hand why Dana Point is the Dolphin and Whale Watching Capital of the World. Dana Point is believed to serve as a visual landmark for several species of whales that migrate along the Pacific Coast. Graceful humpback whales and nurturing gray whales are visible as they travel along our coastline. Guests will also be able to enjoy our local dolphin inhabitants frolicking in the Southern California waters.

 

Tennis & Pickleball Clinic

Explore the underwater kingdom of life that exists here in Dana Point or Laguna Beach as expert naturalists will guide and find the amazing sea creatures that thrive in our coastal waters. Discover two options, from a Hike/Snorkeling excursion where you will explore some of our fascinating tide pool organisms along the way, to a snorkeling excursion where we will dive straight into the underwater world of Laguna Beach, and observe the various organisms held in our local kelp forest ecosystems.

 

Laguna Beach Nature Hikes

Explore native plants and wildlife along a mountainous ridge overlooking the Laguna Beach coastline. There are three available options for this hike including easy, moderate, and hard. Each hike presents a variety of local plants and knowledge of the natives who cared for these lands in the past. Whether it be a calming stroll, or an intense physical workout, this is a great activity to learn about our Chaparral ecosystems and the history of the Laguna Beach area. Length of excursion depends on the hike option chosen.

 

Dana Point Headlands Hike

Investigate the local foliage and wildlife of the Dana Point Headlands and learn how they have adapted to life on the ever-changing coast. Accompanied by naturalists, you will learn about kelp forest ecology and the local history of Dana Point on a 3 - 5 mile round trip hike.

 

Harbor Wine Cruise

Join us for an evening cruise aboard our luxury catamaran. This cruise features a wine host who explains all the wines you will be sampling from The Organic Cellar, which promotes organically grown and pesticide-free wines as well as a sample platter of cheese, crackers, dried fruits, and nuts that pairs with the wines. Our 63-ft Ocean Adventure catamaran features a 360-degree view from its spacious deck. Additionally, guests may enjoy a fully operative cash bar onboard to delight in a variety of beverages. San Juan Capistrano Mission Inn Tour

Experience a VIP guided tour and explore the San Juan Capistrano Mission Grounds. Mission San Juan Capistrano, historic landmark and museum, is the Birthplace of Orange County. It was founded more than two hundred years ago as the 7th of 21 missions statewide and features a chapel still standing where Saint Serra once celebrated Mass. Today, it is a monument to California’s multi-cultural history, embracing its Native American, Spanish, Mexican and European heritage. See a snapshot of California’s history by touring exhibits and museum rooms including entrance into a historic wine vat, visiting the private sacristy of the ruins, or touch the historic Mission Bells. This is an up-close experience entering the past world of the California Mission System.

 

Explore The Shore Hike

Our expert naturalists guide you in a discovery of the sea life in the different tidal zones. We begin with an engaging introductory presentation in the Eco-Adventure Center and then explore some of Southern California’s most beautiful tide pools on the resort beaches.

 

Surf Experience

Learn how to surf in true Southern California style with an expert surf instructor this summer. Communicated in a way that will make surfing accessible to everyone, beginners will enjoy the thoroughness of the lesson, while experienced surfers will love the personal coaching. The Surf Experience includes transportation to and from the surf spot, a 2-hour lesson, all equipment including surfboards, wetsuits, towels and more.

 

Stand Up Paddleboarding & Kayaking Adventure

With access to the calm waters of Dana Point Harbor, stand up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking are amazing ways to explore the Southern California shoreline. Experience a SUP or kayaking lesson including 2 hours of instruction by a CPR/First Aid certified instructor including all equipment.

 

Lawn Games

Enhance your event with our top-of-the-line lawn game options. Games include cornhole, giant Jenga, ladder toss, golf pong and more. Our Ladies and Gentlemen will oversee the setup of the lawn games of your choice. The length of rental depends on the time of day.

Banquet
Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.
Conference and Hollow Square
Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.
E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape
Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
Theater
Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
Reception
Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
Schoolroom or Classroom
The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
