The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom

The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom features molded wood wall panels that are painted in a light French grey with cream accents, 14.5-foot ceilings and six breathtaking chandeliers. Elegant wall sconces comprised of beveled glass and luxurious silk shades complete the look by providing a modern look and a soft glow.

The Plaza Ballroom

The Plaza Ballroom is perfectly designed to host more intimate and exclusive celebrations. The spacious room can accommodate both a ceremony and reception for up to 70 guests. Located on the Ballroom Level of the hotel, the room can accommodate approximately 160 guests comfortably.

The hotel also offers an Executive Conference Center with five additional meeting rooms. All meeting planners will be assigned a professionally trained conference concierge to assist them while on property with their event. Our conference concierge will always be located outside of the meeting rooms ready to assist.

The Boardroom is located on ballroom level and is one of our five conference rooms. It is perfect for an Executive Meeting, or small group meeting for up to 20 people.

Impact Experiences offers on-property activities that can be incorporated into the conference agenda during lunch breaks, receptions, and coffee breaks, including:

 

  • Partnering with the hotel’s culinary team to prepare the ingredients for a regionally adapted dish for donation to a local hunger relief organization.
  • Assembling school supplies and art materials in backpacks for donation to students whose academic success is threatened by poverty.
  • Collaborating in teams to assemble emergency preparedness kits for shipping to a disaster relief facility or community organization.
  • Designing and creating greetings and birthday cards for children in a local pediatric healthcare facility or children’s organization.
  • Impact Hour is a platform for leaders from The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints partner organizations to showcase how they are successfully addressing social and environmental issues.
  • Additionally, Signature Impact Experiences invite our group guests to take part in an off-site volunteer activity, unique to the destination.

The nation’s capital is a historical city of grand monuments and beautiful expanses of parkland — and the National Park Service (NPS) is charged with protecting these beloved treasures. Group guests can join an NPS representative to learn about the city’s inspiring history and help beautify the landscape, remove invasive plants and preserve local species.

Conference and Hollow Square
Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.
E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape
Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
Theater
Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
Reception
Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
Schoolroom or Classroom
The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
