That’s why The Ritz-Carlton proudly offers Impact Experiences, providing inspiring opportunities for our guests to contribute to the local community. Impact Experiences are compelling social and environmental impact activities where there is one constant – each program makes a lasting and authentic difference.

Impact Experiences offers on-property activities that can be incorporated into the conference agenda during lunch breaks, receptions, and coffee breaks, including:

• Partnering with the hotel’s culinary team to prepare the ingredients for a regionally adapted dish for donation to a local hunger relief organization;


• Assembling school supplies and art materials in backpacks for donation to students whose academic success is threatened by poverty;


• Collaborating in teams to assemble emergency preparedness kits for shipping to a disaster relief facility or community organization;


• Designing and creating greetings and birthday cards for children in a local pediatric healthcare facility or children’s organization.


• Impact Hour is a platform for leaders from The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints partner organizations to showcase how they are successfully addressing social and environmental issues.

Sustainable Urban Living

In cooperation with id22: Institute for Creative Sustainability, group guests can attend workshops in the Spreefeld cooperative, an experimental live/work sustainability project. This enriching activity offers guests team-building experiences and the ability to improve their knowledge about sustainable urban development.

Meetings and events at The Ritz-Carlton are carefully designed to create an unparalleled guest experience while protecting our natural resources. Together with our property-based Ritz-Carlton Environmental Action Conservation Teams (REACT) you and your attendees can support our efforts to reduce our environmental imprint and make a meaningful difference. Within our hotels, we reduce energy and water usage, offer a linen and terry reuse program, and utilize environmentally preferable cleaning products. Our meeting venues support a sustainable future by offering recycled paper products and pens, water service options, organic and local food, and sustainable seafood options. By offering high-quality and luxurious experiences and being a popular employer The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin naturally takes responsibility for preserving and conserving the natural environment. The protection of an intact environment is part of our quality strategy. Environmental protection was implemented in our business policy and integrated into all hotel components.

Therefore, in 2011 our hotel decided to establish EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) as our environment program. Within this program, we develop and set yearly goals in regard to various environmental and safety aspects, audited regularly through an external party. Excellent service- and client satisfaction is our number one priority and we take all necessary measures to ensure environmental protection and use all resources needed in a responsible and sustainable manner. General Information

What is required by the state of Berlin / the county of Germany for a legal wedding ceremony?

The wedding can only be announced/ordered six months prior to the planned wedding date. The registration needs to be done at the registry office, where the couple, or one member of the couple, is legally registered. This registry office then needs to inform the office where the couple wishes to get married. The required papers differ enormously, depending on the nationality of the couple, etc. We definitely recommend contacting a registry office in Berlin personally. The fee for registration is about EUR 200,00.

What do I need to know before contacting the hotel?

You should know the estimated number of guests, a date, and an approximate budget for your event. If possible, choose a few alternative dates in case your first choice is not available.

How far in advance should I reserve the date?

Although The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin often fills the most popular dates as far as two years in advance, other dates are typically available with less notice. Please contact the hotel for more information about available dates.

What are the deposits based on and when are they due?

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. At The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin deposits are due six weeks prior to your event, 90% of the estimated charges, and the final invoice needs to be paid within 30 days after receiving the invoice.

When do I need to tell The Ritz-Carlton exactly how many guests will be attending my wedding?

The catering department must be notified of the exact number of guests attending a function at least 3 working days prior to the start of the event. This will be considered a guarantee, for which you will be charged, even if fewer guests attend the function.

Do the bride and groom get a complimentary room for the wedding night?

The hotel provides a complimentary guestroom or even suite for the bride and groom on the night of their wedding. The complimentary guestroom is offered with a minimum of 50 guests in attendance at the wedding party.

Are there special room rates for wedding guests?

For couples booking a wedding package, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is delighted to offer preferential rates for family and friends for the week of the event. Special room rates depend on the time of the year and the occupancy already in-house.

What does The Ritz-Carlton provide for weddings and receptions?

The Ritz-Carlton provides all food and beverages, tables and chairs, white table linens, silverware and glasses, a dance floor, and staging for your event. The rental of a location includes chair set-up and staging. This also includes an on-site Wedding Planner to greet and assist your guests.

What other services or items can The Ritz-Carlton provide for my event?

The Ritz-Carlton can provide a wide range of specialty items to help you personalize your events, such as specialty linens, specialty base plates, and menu cards. We can also assist you with welcome baskets, bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, and a variety of other special amenities to help add that personal touch to your wedding. Costs for all items vary.

How do I arrange for flowers?

Our in-house florist will prepare all kinds of flower variations. These include a range of seasonal arrangements, centerpieces, bouquets, headdresses, corsages, and button-holes.

How do I choose the food for my reception?

Whether your reception is an intimate dinner or a lavish gathering, we offer a range of cuisines. From hors d’oeuvres and champagne cocktails to optional stations and gourmet buffets or formal dinners with plated selections and synchronized service, all options are catered. Your wedding professional will assist you with choosing from our extensive menu. A tasting will be scheduled to help you finalize your choices.

My guests have special dietary needs, what are our options?

We are delighted to offer a selection of vegetarian, vegan, and cuisines for any dietary need. Please consult with your wedding planner for more details.

Can The Ritz-Carlton provide my wedding cake?

Our pastry chef will ensure your new life together gets off to a sweet start. Choose from our imaginative wedding cakes and patisseries or customize your own creative temptations.

May I bring in an outside caterer?

All events at The Ritz-Carlton are catered by our exceptional culinary team. However, you may choose to have your wedding cake prepared by an outside vendor.
