The world-famous Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition takes place on opening day. Five finalists bake 1,000 cookies each and serve them in the village until supplies run out. Guests have the opportunity to sample all of the cookies and vote for their favorite.

Ski Nanny
The popular Ski Nanny program at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch supervises the resort’s youngest ski bunnies, ensuring they arrive on time in Beaver Creek Village for group lessons via Village transportation, simultaneously allowing Mom and Dad to make first tracks. Parents should bring their children to Ritz Kids between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m., and we will escort them to their lesson. After a day on the slopes, the Nanny meets children at the Ski School drop-off point in Beaver Creek and escorts them back to the resort for Ritz Kids’ “Munchies and a Movie,” where parents are invited to pick up their children by 6 p.m. Ski Nanny services are offered to children 5 to 12 years old.

Munchies and a Movie
Each day a movie will be played in The Ritz Kids room from 4 to 6 p.m., where the children can relax on bean bags after a day of mountain adventure and indulge in popcorn, hot chocolate and juice. Munchies and a Movie, available to children ages 5 to 12 years old, is complimentary to those participating in the Ski Nanny program. Twenty-four hour advance reservations are required. Beaver Creek Snowshoe Series

Take your snowshoeing to new heights as a beginner or a world class level snowshoer for the Snowshoe Adventure Series which features competitive 5K and 10K events as well as the Kids' 1K. In addition to renowned alpine skiing, Beaver Creek is home to 20K of designated Nordic and snowshoe trails in McCoy Park, located at 10,000 feet and surrounded by stunning mountain ranges. Parents should bring their children to Ritz Kids between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m., and we will escort them to their lesson. After a day on the slopes, the Nanny meets children at the Ski School drop-off point in Beaver Creek and escorts them back to the resort for Ritz Kids’ “Munchies and a Movie,” where parents are invited to pick up their children by 6 p.m. Ski Nanny services are offered to children 5 to 12 years old.

Talons Challenge
March 1, 2015
Ski 14 Black Diamond and Double-Black Diamond runs in one day; 26,000+ vertical feet await on Beaver Creek's legendary World Cup Birds of Prey downhill course, in Larkspur Bowl and on the flanks of Grouse Mountain. Participants return year after year and come from all over to earn a spot on the electronic wall of fame at Red Tail Camp. This winter Talons will now be a draw for young rippers who will be rewarded with their own new Kids Talons Challenge on Sunday.

Take your snowshoeing to new heights as a beginner or a world class level snowshoer for the Snowshoe Adventure Series which features competitive 5K and 10K events as well as the Kids' 1K. ANIMAL EVIDENCE SCAVENGER HIKE: We will work as a team of detectives to find clues that the sometimes elusive forest animals have left behind. Our leisurely wildlife investigation will begin at the Mountainside Terrace.
