For your convenience, we have compiled answers to common questions you may find helpful in choosing the types of treatment that best meet your individual needs or desires.
What about my comfort?
This is your time, and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it's the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please notify us of any discomforts or preferences. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off in The Bachelor Gulch Spa at The Ritz-Carlton.
What is the cancellation policy?
Services require cancellation 24-hours in advance to avoid being subject to 100 percent of the treatment price. Credit card authorization is required at the time of reservation. Changes made on the day of the appointment will be subject to a $35 fee.
What about gratuities?
For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added to your service. If you choose, you may opt to leave additional gratuity for your therapist.
What about payment for Spa services?
We accept all major credit cards and traveler's checks. You may also charge spa services to your hotel bill.
Can I use the spa without booking a treatment?
The spa facilities including fitness center, locker rooms, grottos and relaxation areas are available to all hotel guests complimentary.
What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.
Is there a minimum age for treatments and use of facilities?
Guests of The Bachelor Gulch Spa at The Ritz-Carlton must be 18 years of age or older. Nail salon services as well as facials are available for children ages 16 and over. The Fitness Center may be utilized by guests 12 to 15 years of age when accompanied by a parent or fitness trainer and an authorization form must be signed by a parent and presented upon use of the facility. Guests 16 and 17 years of age may utilize the Fitness Center unaccompanied, but must provide a signed authorization form from a parent. Are Gift Certificates available from The Spa?
You may purchase Gift Certificates through our Signature Shop.
What if I am pregnant?
While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify our spa agents if you are pregnant when you make your appointments so that they can offer guidance.
What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify our spa reservation agent before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concerns at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.
When should I arrive?
For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow you to relax in our lounge, dry sauna, grottos and eucalyptus steam rooms.
What should I wear during my treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, please wear whatever makes you comfortable. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Before and after your treatment, robes and slippers are provided.
Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services. For men, shaving is recommended, but not necessary, prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your appointment.
What about my jewelry and valuables?
If you are staying in the hotel, please leave valuable items in the safe in your guestroom. Lockers are available for your personal items in the spa.
