Bejana, A Culinary Journey through the Indonesian Archipelago

The Ritz-Carlton, Bali

In Bali, the sea is everywhere – including on your plate. Indonesia has one of the most vibrant cuisines in the world, and here at the southern tip of the archipelago, fish and seafood play a vital part in that culinary heritage. At the Ritz- Carlton, Bali, you have the chance not only to taste the very best of this wonderful cuisine, but to explore it, understand it and create it themselves.

Our restaurant Bejana is home to the Culinary Cave, where guests can dive deep into the world of Indonesian cooking. The experience begins with a morning visit to the market, where our head chef introduces guests to local fishermen and helps them choose the freshest catch of the day. Back at the restaurant, it’s time to get cooking, as guests prepare a traditional Indonesian lunch with the ingredients they have chosen. Experience the ocean’s bounty as it was meant to be enjoyed - local, seasonal and fresh from the sea.
