Food and shelter are two of the most basic needs for long-term well-being, yet an alarming number of North Texans lack these critical resources. In 2003, David Timothy, also known as the SoupMan, recognized the immense need for food amongst Dallas’ homeless population and turned his vision of starting a mobile soup kitchen into a reality. Today, SoupMobile, Inc. serves approximately 600 meals, including 45 gallons of soup, to the homeless on a daily basis. A standard meal includes a hot bowl of soup, a hearty ham & cheese sandwich and refreshing beverage.

The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas invites hotel guests to give back and be a part of the SoupMobile’s mission by becoming a “Soup Savior”. As a “Soup Savior”, guests will work with the culinary team behind-the-scenes in The Ritz-Carlton kitchen to create a nutritious and filling soup. A Ritz-Carlton representative will deliver the freshly prepared soup to the SoupMobile headquarters for lunchtime distribution to a group of Dallas residents who need it most.

To participate in The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas Give Back Getaways program and Become a “Soup Savior”, please call 214.922.4731. One week advance notice is required. Program is based upon availability for hotel guests.
