The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is proud to host The Diamond Ball, an evening of inspiration committed to saving lives. The mission of The Diamond Ball is to raise funds for animal charities that save lives. The evening includes a silent and live auction, a four-course dinner presented by the resort’s Executive Chef, and music and dancing. The evening also includes The Diamond Drop, an opportunity where guests can donate gems and jewelry in support of the cause. Click here

Follow Fido to Yappy Hour, a monthly cocktail party for canines and their companions held on The Dana Lawn. Pooches, hounds and pups enjoy complimentary hand-made dog biscuits and lapping up refreshing libations, thanks to bacon, chicken, cheese, beef and liver flavored water, while their companions can purchase burgers, brews and wines. Proceeds from the 2015 Yappy Hour season will go to the Wounded Veterans Initiative of Canine Companions for Independence

Canines and their companions are invited for tricks and treats in celebration of Howl-O-Ween. This seasonal Yappy Hour celebration is a chance for pups to strut their stuff in their favorite costume. A panel of judges will determine which canine will take home the prize in the costume categories of Scariest, Funniest, Most Glamorous and, of course, Best in Show. First place prize in each category is a hand-painted dog bowl by Debby Carman of Faux Paws Productions. Cost to enter the costume contest is $10 per canine. Yappy Howl-iday

Santa Claus will make a special appearance for the Yappy Howl-iday Celebration. This festive gathering of canines and their companions provides Fido with the opportunity to be photographed with the “Big Dog” himself – Santa Claus. Photos can be purchased for $15. In keeping with the resort’s Season of Giving, guests are asked to bring unopened canned or dry dog food, treats or dog toys to be donated to an animal rescue organization.
