Floral Arranging
A one-hour floral arranging class presented by one of the many talented designers from The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel’s floral department. Your guests can actually arrange florals to be used at your dinner that evening! (2 Hours)
Lawn and Pool Games
A classic game of Croquet, Badminton, Bocciball, Volleyball, and other lawn games may be set up for your enjoyment. Beach Olympics, pool games, and other team-building activities may be arranged through Destination Services. Attendants are available upon request. (2 Hours)
Cooking with the Ritz-Carlton Masters
Presented by one of The Ritz-Carlton Chefs, each class may include a tour of our kitchens, a Cooking with the Masters Chef's apron and the recipes of the day. A tasting of the food prepared in class is offered. (2 Hours)
Scarf Painting
Enjoy Silk scarf painting with local Laguna Beach Artist Olivia Batchelder, who is well known for her unique hand painted silk scarves. Today your guests will join her at the hotel for a presentation and a casual, hands-on lesson in painting their own masterpiece scarf. Your guests will lean the artist techniques and procedures along with the use of color to help you develop your own style. (3 Hours)
Fused Glass Class
You will enjoy how easy it is to make beautiful dichroic glass jewelry quick and easy. Each student will have the opportunity to make a pendent and earrings in this fun 3-hour class. The jewelry will be finished in a quick fire kiln and delivered to you room the following day. Your instructor Randi Peshkin is a local artist in San Juan Capistrano and the owner of The Black Cat Gallery. (3 Hours)
Painting with local Artist
"You Didn't Tell Me You Were an Artist!" is an art class conducted by a well-known local artist. More than a simple art lesson, the artist will instill an understanding of the relationship between color, landscape, and atmosphere. Casual and totally enjoyable, guests paint as they receive simple hints and listen to great anecdotes. Guests will have a great time and love their "masterpiece" creation. (2 Hours)
Salt Creek Nature Hike
Located right in front of The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel there is plenty to discover. Let our renowned naturalist introduce you to the abundant nature and resources that surround the hotel. Walking along the California coastline, Doug will discuss the local ecology, native vegetation, tide pools and associated wildlife of the area. (2 Hours)

Your enthusiastic and dynamic guide, a well-known local artist, will escort you through this discovery of both the historical and modern art community that Laguna is renowned for. (4 Hours)
San Juan Capistrano
Enjoy a tour of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, led by one of the Mission’s highly knowledgeable docents. The “Jewel of the Missions” is the seventh in the chain of the California missions and the centerpiece of San Juan Capistrano’s historic downtown. Following your tour of the beautiful Mission, experience the charm of this picturesque little town with its many unique antique stores. (4 Hours)
San Clemente
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean this stunning setting is a place to explore the history of Southern California and experience the romance and reality in the early days of California. Following your tour at Ole’ Hanson the Founder of San Clemente home “Casa Romanitica,” there will be free time in the City of San Clemente, which is known as "The Spanish Village by the Sea" for its magnificent coastline and beautiful Mediterranean style. Shopping on Avenida Del Mar features many boutique shops including its own Antique Mecca. Visitors can discover many unrivaled antique stores, unique clothing and gifts, custom jewelry, fragrant oils, designer perfumes, cafés and leisure beach clothing. (4 Hours)
Oceanography Adventure
Experience the rich wildlife and flora in Southern California during this unique Oceanography Adventure. Famed naturalist and dolphin expert, Doug Thompson, will introduce your guests in his enthusiastic way to dolphins, seals, and many more creatures of the Pacific Ocean. You may listen and learn, or just relax and kick back and take in the beautiful coastline. A tour that is certain to be remembered. This tour may include Whale Watching during the season (from late November thru April). (4 Hours)

Laguna features several dozen unique galleries, showcasing everything from regional impressionism and sculpture to handcrafted glasswork and jewelry. Hollywood Behind the Scenes
Hollywood is a place, a name and a phenomenon known in every corner of the globe. The movies, the stories and the imagination behind them challenge the mind, offer hope and entertain us when times are tough. For these reasons Hollywood represents many things to many people all over the world. While the studios continued to churn out block busters year after year Hollywood, the place, fell into a deep decline. Regardless, the allure of Hollywood proved far to strong and people still came to make a personal connection with their "dream factory." People come to see their favorite stars immortalized on the Walk of Fame or in the foot and handprints in the forecourt of the Chinese Theatre. Your guests will be taken on a walking guided tour with a local Hollywood historian. Each guest will be given listening headsets to wear during the tour. Today you will experience a Hollywood Behind-the-Scenes Tour you will see many of Hollywood's most famous landmarks including Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Sign.
Rodeo Drive & 2 Rodeo –“Shop till you drop!”
Rodeo Drive is probably the single most famous, most prestigious shopping street on the planet – everyone should experience and visit it at least once in a lifetime. The Golden Triangle, as the district is known, has transformed little Beverly Hills into the international shopping destination of choice, a genuine global epicenter of both brand-new trends and beautifully executed traditions. Rode Drive is THE center of the action. And Rodeo Drive is, in a word, - amazing; a top-of-the line, one-of-a-kind showcase filled with the very finest things. These are stores you are already on a first-name basis with: Prada, Escada, Gucci, Valentino, Armani, Versace, Dior, Cartier, Tiffany. Spend some time (and money?) to enjoy these exclusive stores, or just sit in a café and people watch. Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive will leave you with unforgettable memories. A stop in Hollywood or Santa Monica may be added to this activity.
The Getty Center
Guests will have the opportunity to experience the multi-billion dollar J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center. Set upon a hilltop overlooking the Los Angeles Basin and the Pacific Ocean, the Getty Center is a marvel of the art world that features fourteen galleries of French furniture and decorative arts as well as several galleries featuring paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, drawings, and photographs. All set amongst a dramatic architecture of Italian travertine stone, majestic gardens, terraces and open courtyards. Once at The Getty Center, guests can choose to participate in a garden tour, architectural tour or even join in on a gallery talk. Museum attendees may also choose to tour the center on their own with the audio tour. A stop in Santa Monica for lunch and shopping at Third Street Promenade is also available to add to this activity. (The Getty Museum is closed on Monday)
Sony Studios to Santa Monica
You’ll step back into a legendary time when you are touring the world famous Sony Pictures Studios. Sony Pictures is located on the original lot of MGM. This tour gives you a rare glimpse of Old Hollywood’s glory days. You will also experience a sneak peek at current movie and television making. You’ll see the soundstage where the Yellow Brick Road once wound through Munchkinland, and sound stages where movies such as Men in Black and Spider Man battled aliens and outlaws. You may even drop by the set of Jeopardy! And remember…Sony Pictures is a real working studio you never know who you might be shooting just around that corner! Next stop is Santa Monica and Third Street Promenade, where everything is enjoyed outdoors. Here you will find art galleries, antique stores, cafes, boutiques, book shops, and some of the best LA restaurants. (Sony Studios tour available Monday – Friday only)
Temecula Wineries
Temecula, known for its collection of quaint boutique wineries, is our destination for today’s tour. Guests will arrive first at the Palomar winery, well known for its eclectic selection of both red and white wine varietals, where they will enjoy a tasting of Palomar’s latest releases.
Afterwards, the group will proceed to the Thornton Winery for a selected tasting or Thornton’s finest sparkling wines, where the specialty is sparkling wine produced under the Culbertson name. Following the tour, lunch may be served on the patio of Champagne, Thonton’s specialty bistro. The Calloway Winery is our final stop. Here the guests will enjoy a private tour of the facility and a tasting of Calloway’s latest releases. There is an extensive gift shop for those wishing to purchase a collectible.

Rich in history, the striking landscape provides inspiration for painter, poet, photographer and writer. This exceptionally scenic recreational area offers any visitor opportunities for activities such as walking, hiking, cycling, bird watching and nature study. (4 Hours)
Dolphin Safari
Skipper Dave Anderson woke up one morning a few years ago, tapped his wife's shoulder and told her about a dream. He pictured sailing across Orange County's coastline in a boat equipped with research-caliber technology that would make Jacques Cousteau proud. His wish finally came true when the self-styled, chatty skipper launched his high-tech boat. The 35-foot catamaran is equipped with an underwater video camera, speakers and a hydrophone for listening and playing music to the dolphins - the only commercial vessel in Orange County offering this type of technology. You and your guests are certain to gain a new understanding for these incredible creatures. (2.5 Hours)

Join us for two hours of paddling as we learn about the birds, sea animals, geology and the fascinating history of pirates and explorers of the Laguna Beach coastline area. We'll show you the paddling skills you need to enjoy cruising local harbors. You can stay warm and dry in our sleek and comfortable touring kayaks, but, as always, be ready to get your feet wet. Whether it's your first time or you're just looking to hone your skills, our local guides will work hard to accommodate your needs. Your guests will be fully outfitted during their private group lessons. Whether you have experience fishing or none at all, this fun and unique activity will adapt to meet your ability. Barnstorming
open cockpit biplane rides - gentle or thrilling . . . you decide
Two vintage biplanes have been lovingly restored to better than new condition. Two guests sit side-by side in the front cockpit with the pilot flies from the back seat. Your flights can be “as gentle as a featherbed” or more” thrilling than a roller Coaster.” You will be given helmets and goggles, which will make you feel just like Snoopy! Built-in headsets allow communication with the pilot and the passengers. You have an opportunity to do some mock dog-fighting if guests are up for the thrills. Weather permitting, all flights go along the Pacific coast and inland over movie star mansions and beautiful golf courses. From November to March you often see migrating whales for an added treat. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Newport Harbor as your guest enjoy their day aboard a sleek electric gondola style boat. Newport Beach is one of the most magnificent waterfront communities in Southern California; known for its white sandy beaches, clear blue waters and million dollar yachts. The Newport Harbor is a lovely spot to cruise along the many quaint islands such as charming Balboa Island. “Pyrate” Adventure Sail
Cast off for adventure aboard our 118’ schooner, Spirit of Dana Point. Experience “pyrates” and sailors during the Golden Age of Sail. Enjoy a fun-filled cruise with historical characters who will bring you back into their time! Located about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego on the southern Orange County coast, Dana Point Harbor is truly one of the most spectacular man-made harbors in the world. The harbor and adjacent city are named after Richard Henry Dana, who, in 1835 at the age of 19, sailed around Cape Horn aboard the trading brig "Pilgrim" in search of cowhides for Boston shoe factories. Upon his return, he wrote the book "Two Years before the Mast". As they cruise the harbor and up the coastline of Orange County. Cast off for adventure aboard our 118’ schooner, Spirit of Dana Point. Surf Clinic
Guests will gain the knowledge and confidence to pursue surfing on their own, and are guaranteed to be up and riding by the end of the session! Sessions are taught at historic Doheny Beach or San Onofre, based upon tide and surf conditions, so that it is ideal for the first-time surfer. (2 Hours)
Sailing
Experience the thrill of sailing the Pacific waters along the California Riviera. A variety of sailing vessels await your command, from 6 to 35 passenger Coast Guard-certified vessels. Take a “hands-on” approach as you learn to sail by assisting the captain or simply relax and enjoy an afternoon cruise. (4 Hours)
Schooning
A unique sailing vessel, the Alden Schooner “Curlew”, awaits your command. Built in 1926, the 82-foot classic wooden schooner has had a long and very active career before she came under the ownership of Pat Russell who completely rebuilt her and restored her back to her original beauty and grace. “Schooning” is a thrill when you want a thrill, and complete peace when your soul cries out for a respite. It is complete and utter detachment from a daily world while racing through the blue of sea and sky with a graceful wooden hull beneath your feet, and a cloud of snowy canvas overhead. Sit back and relax or participate in the many duties aboard. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Sportfishing
The fish are always biting along the California Riviera! Take advantage of the multitudes of Yellowtail and Bonita that inhabit the waters off Dana Point Harbor. The more adventurous angler may opt for an all-day Deep Sea Fishing excursion where the opportunity of catching Swordfish and Dorado await.

Downtown Historical Walking Tour
This is the definitive tour of Los Angeles. Our "Inside Historic Downtown Los Angeles" tour explores a city virtually unchanged since the glory days of Hollywood. Contained within Downtown's "Historic District" is the "Broadway Historic Theatre District" - the largest historic theatre district in the United States. Your guide will lead you INSIDE some of America's most beautiful old picture palaces including the Palace Theater, which is the oldest Orpheum Theatre in the world - a survivor from the days of vaudeville. You will also see the Million Dollar Theatre - the world's first movie palace built by Sid Grauman, originator of the world famous Chinese Theatre. You will be transported back in time as we visit a European style food hall, opulent hotels, grand public buildings and streetscapes right out of the early 1920's.
