- A portion of the package proceeds will go to benefit Ford’s Theatre Society. Founded in 1968, Ford’s Theatre Society works in partnership with the National Park Service to operate the historic site at Ford’s Theatre and the Petersen House (where Lincoln died). It is the mission of Ford’s Theatre Society to celebrate the legacy of Abraham Lincoln and explore the American experience through theatre and education. In February 2009 Ford’s Theatre will reopen its doors after an 18 month renovation.
