Seatings from 2 to 3 p.m. 

Experience a deliciously modern ritual of Afternoon Tea in The Lounge with a city view. Reconnect with friends and family while enjoying fine pots of tea and sandwiches crafted with seasonal, local ingredients and may include Classic Cucumber with goat cheese, Eggs on Toast with Maitake mushroom and Eclaire with lobster mousse and caviar. Sweet indulgences may include Brown Butter Madeleine, Layered Raspberry Victoria Sponge Cake and Currant Scones with Lemon Curd and Devonshire Cream. A Vegetarian Afternoon Tea Menu is available plus gluten- and dairy-free options.

The Afternoon Tea is priced at $75 per person, exclusive of tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages.

For a unique and memorable dining experience for groups, reserve the “Kitchen Table” at the Chef’s Table at Parallel 37. In homage to the “kitchen table” dining experience that the late Charlie Trotter created in his eponymous restaurant in 1989, Parallel 37’s Kitchen Table experience begins inside the kitchen where guests will savor cocktails and canapés with Chef Michael Rotondo while chefs plate dishes for dinner service. From there, guests will be seated at the kitchen-adjacent Chef’s Table where they will enjoy a spontaneous multi-course tasting menu featuring the finest seasonal and luxury ingredients, complete with beverage pairings. $250 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity). A four guest minimum is required.

Sunday, October 9 – Seatings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Join us for our popular Second Sunday Brunch at award-winning Parallel 37 featuring a unique twist on California cuisine and traditional brunch favorites by Chef Michael Rotondo. The open-format brunch includes chef’s action stations serving hand-carved meats and entrees, made-to-order breakfast specialties, a raw bar with seasonal seafood, California artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, custom Bloody Mary bar and mimosas.

$115 per guest, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

Pink Afternoon Tea in The Lounge

Saturday, October1 and 15, 2016, seatings between 2 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco invites guests to repose in The Lounge and experience a rose-colored spin on its signature Afternoon Tea. Presented in a classic tiered style, an array of savory and sweet delights will complement the tableside tea service, including tea sandwiches of Cucumber, Lemon, Fromage Blanc; Beet-Cured Salmon, Ricotta, Red Pepper Gougere; Melon, Rose Water Mozzarella, Shortbread; and Ham, Pink Lady Apple, Arugula Pesto, Pepato. A selection of delectable treats will complete the Pink Afternoon Tea experience including Fig Raspberry Dome; Cherry Pistachio Tart; Cranberry Cardamon Shortbread and Strawberry Choux Puffs. A “Pink Promise” cocktail and selection of champagne and sparkling wine will also be available as supplements.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is shaking up a special “Pink Promise” cocktail featuring vodka, lime, strawberry, peppermint, Velvet Falernum and rose lemonade. Guests can enjoy this lively pink-themed libation at Parallel 37 or in The Lounge.

Donate a Designer Handbag to Support Breast Cancer Emergency Fund

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco encourages guests to support Breast Cancer Emergency Fund’s signature event – “This Old Bag” – by donating gently used designer handbags to the concierge from October 1-14. On Friday, October 21, donations collected from the hotel will join the array of handbags, clutches, manbags, and other gently used items to be auctioned off at San Francisco’s Bentley Reserve to help women and men in need. “This Old Bag” accounts for a quarter of Breast Cancer Emergency Fund’s annual operating budget – a perfect reason for hotel guests to embrace Union Square’s vibrant shopping scene.

An annual holiday tradition, children are invited to gather for Teddy Bear Tea in the festively decorated Terrace Room at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. While children enjoy a special tea experience of hot chocolate, teddy bear cut-out cookies and assorted sandwiches, they are entertained and engaged with a lively holiday show starring an entertaining elf, his animated sidekick and a giant Teddy Bear. Each child will receive a teddy bear as a gift and photo with the giant Teddy Bear to take home. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area.  

$120 per adult; $115 per child, inclusive of tax and gratuity. $2 per ticket sold will benefit Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area. Purchase tickets.
