OKINAWA, JAPAN, January 31, 2017: Created for children between the ages of 4 and 12, Ritz Kids® is an engaging and immersive experience that builds upon the adventures of travel your child will always treasure. From their moment of arrival, The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa welcomes children by encouraging them to explore the sights and sounds of the hotel and its environment. Guided by playfulness and a sense of wonder, Ritz Kids delights and engages your children to interact with their surroundings in a fresh and exciting way, while introducing them to the four important pillars of Ritz Kids discovery: Water, Land, Environmental Responsibility and Culture.

Located in the midst of lush natural surroundings, surrounded by verdant nature and the stunning blue of the Kise ocean, The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa is the perfect environment for children to learn about the four pillars of Ritz Kids discovery. The hotel encourages children to explore the sights and sounds of nature by offering a variety of nature-themed activities for kids, and also houses its very own botanical garden, which excites and inspires young guests.

Every year between the end of December and the end of March, The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa offers its guests one of nature’s most special experiences – a whale watching tour to see the humpback whales that visit the waters of Okinawa every year to give birth and raise their children. The hotel invites young guests to share in the delight of watching wild whales, possibly for the first time, as they rear out of the ocean and spray water up into the air close to the boat.

The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa also offers The Ritz Kids® Night Safari program – an extraordinary in-room camping experience that highlights Japanese culture and instils a sense of adventure in young guests. Upon entering their room, children will discover a safari tent with Ritz-Carlton linens, a compass-designed floor mat, pajamas, and curated camping amenities, and an LED lantern will be turned on and hung in the tent during the turndown service at 6 p.m. The Ritz Kids® Night Safari program is available to all children aged between 4 and 8 who stay in Premier Deluxe Rooms, The Presidential Suite or The Ritz-Carlton Suite and costs 5,400 JPY.

Another favorite activity is the Ritz Kids® Photography contest. Junior guests aged between 4 and 12 years old can take part in the contest to find and create their own art as they explore the natural world surrounding The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa. In addition, the hotel launched a new Buggy Ride Tour in 2016, allowing children to go off-road with their parents and explore the wild forests of Northern Okinawa, known locally as yambaru. The hotel also offers a Kaleidoscope creation experience, which kids can join in by collecting beautiful shells at the beach and creating their own kaleidoscope.

For a most enjoyable family stay, The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa recommends the Cabana Room, with a 312 square-foot terrace offering direct access to the outdoor pool, comfortable lounging areas inside, and a private whirlpool on the private terrace, as well as a deeply relaxing tub in the bathroom with individual rain shower booths. The Cabana Room offers the height of comfort and luxury to ensure a relaxing family stay.“Okinawa is known for its spectacular, lush nature. We encourage our young guests to get in touch with the nature of Okinawa and create great childhood memories at the Ritz Carlton, Okinawa”, Jun Yoshie, General Manager, The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa.
