Guests are invited to explore a beautifully preserved traditional Balinese home compound, the guide will explain the significance of each structure—the family temple, the northern building for ceremonies, the southern building for daily life, and the eastern building for guests.
The Art of Batik
The guests are invited to explore the batik gallery, learning about techniques like dyeing, printing, brushing, and the intricate canting method. We also observed the traditional weaving process using a manual loom.
Soul Purification
Traditionally referred to as "Melukat," derived from the word ‘Lukat’ which means to purify in Balinese, the soul purification practice is centered on holy water. This spiritual activity is often performed when a Balinese native is about to enter a new phase in their life and the holy water is used to purify and cleanse the body, mind, and soul.

At The Ritz-Carlton, Bali, the Soul Purification Ritual takes place on the secluded white beaches of the resort in the early morning, when Surya, or God of Sun, is believed to rise. Balinese Hindus believe that the blessings from Surya and Baruna, the God of Ocean, are required for a clean and fresh new beginning, which is why this is performed on the beach.
The spiritual journey begins with a Balinese Priest offering a devotion to both of the Gods, followed by a ‘Tepung Tawar’ ritual, cleansing of the guest’s hands, feet, face, and mouth three times each with the holy water, to symbolically cleanse the body, mind, and soul, and concluded by a prayer. Completing the journey, a piece of three-colored string called Benang Tridatu is tied around the guest’s wrist and worn until it falls off – symbolizing their quest for balance, harmony, and understanding. Guests will be accompanied by a “Sutri”, the priest’s assistant who will lead through entire steps of the ritual and provide consultation on Balinese culture.

Policies
Kids aged 4 - 12 years can join Ritz Kids without being accompanied by parents.
Kids below four years old must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians.
The Ritz Kids program is free of charge, and no reservation is required; kids may join anytime during opening hours.
Ritz Kids activities are suitable for ages 4 - 12 years old, however, kids below four years old are also able to play at Ritz Kids and join some easy activities with help from parents or guardians.
Nanny Services
Nanny services are provided by a third-party vendor and guests can book it with the concierge agent or to Ritz Kids directly.
All nannies are certified and first-aid-trained.
Nanny services cost is IDR 70,000 net per hour per child and an additional IDR 30,000 net per nanny per visit as a transportation fee.
Reservation is required 2 hours in advance with a two-hour minimum hire.
A cancellation fee of IDR 100,000 net will be applied if there is a cancellation of less than one hour.
All payments must be paid directly to the nanny in cash.
Night Safari Tent
The additional cost is IDR 800,000++ per tent per night with a reservation one day in advance.
Tent setup with amenities: Ritz Kids hat, bag, lion doll, lantern, and campfire felt toys.
