The Northstar Resort Ski and Snowboard School has lesson programs suited for all levels. “Magic carpet” beginner lifts make the first day easy, with station teaching for those who prefer to learn at their own pace and skill clinics for advanced intermediate and above skiers ready to take it to the next level. There are a number of programs available including programs designed for parents skiing with young children and camps designed by women for women.
Designed to welcome new riders to the sport of snowboarding and help those already in the sport to improve their skills. To maximize the experience, all-day programs are limited to a maximum of six students. North Lake Tahoe is home to miles upon miles of challenging and rewarding cross-country ski trails.
The Tubing Hill, located mid-mountain at Northstar California, offers an exhilarating ride for all ages. Tubes and riders are transported to a tow lift to the top of the hill and slide down.
Using a GPS handheld device, Geocaching participants locate hidden treasure boxes containing log books and trinkets within the cross-country trail network. This activity is great for kids and adults of all ages, with a variety of cache locations suitable to all levels (easy, intermediate and advanced).
