What is required by Turkey for a legal wedding ceremony?
You need to make ready all the documents four months before;

  • six photographs of yours and your fiancée,

  • identity licenses,

  • the copy of  the identity licenses,

  • blood tests.

Application can be done every weekday between 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

What do I need to know before contacting the hotel?
You should know the estimated number of guests, a date, and an approximate budget for your event. If possible, choose a few alternate dates in case your first choice is not available.

How far in advance should I reserve the date?
Although The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul often fills the most popular dates in Spring and Autumn as far as two years in advance, other dates are typically available with less notice. Contact the hotel for more information about available dates at least 6 months in advance.

What is the average cost per person for food and beverage for my wedding at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul?
Based on our current banquet menus, you may expect to spend on average, € 40 per person for lunch and € 110 per person for dinner, both of which are inclusive of local alcoholic beverage package and exclusive of service charge and sales tax. These averages include hors d’oeuvres for your welcome reception, four-course plated meal, wedding cake, and wine service with the meal. Please be aware that our menu items and pricing are subject to change and are guaranteed 90 days in advance. Your final menu pricing will be based on your actual selections.

What are the deposits based on and when are they due?
Deposits are based on 20 % of the combined food and beverage minimum, plus the rental fees for the event space reserved and should be paid on the same date when the contract is signed. Three months prior to your event, 40% of the estimated charges are due. One month prior to your event, 40% of the estimated charges are due, if there will be any extras on the event date, it should be paid at the end of the event. By signing the confirmation, the client agrees to be responsible for the full payment of all charges when due. The hotel shall be entitled to charge a cancelation fee in the event the client cancels this agreement. The fee will be based on the minimum revenue required above in effect at the time written notice of cancelation is received. These amounts are due as liquidated costs and as not as a penalty.

When do I need to tell The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul? exactly how many guests will be attending my wedding?

The catering department must be notified of the exact number of guests attending a function 72 hours prior to the start of the event. The Hotel gets to prepared so as to give service which is 5% more than notified definite number. The requested fee from the client for an amount corresponding to the definite number of invited people confirmed in the contract or the actual number of invited people to the event, whichever is higher.

Do the bride and groom get a complimentary room for the wedding night?
The hotel provides a complimentary Bosphorus Suit including buffet breakfast for the bride and groom as well as two day use standard guest rooms for the families. The complimentary guest room is offered for minimum 200 guests in attendance at the reception.

Are there special room rates for wedding guests?
For family and friends of the wedding party, The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul will be happy to quote preferential rates for the week of the event. The catering department will offer the best special rates upon availability on event date.

What weather should I expect at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul?
As the weeding venues are in-door, you do not need to worry about the weather conditions.

May I hold my ceremony and/or reception outside?
We offer a number of outside venues for your wedding. The catering department advises the best available alternatives from exclusive venues in Istanbul as well as on board of selected cruise boats sailing on Bosphorus according t the season and the number of guests that will attend to the event.
