Praveen Kumar: Chef De Cuisine

Supporting in multiple award winning restaurants, Chef Praveen Kumar resides from Old Delhi. He was raised in Daryaganj, which is known for smoking meats with their secret marginations and cooking them on a traditional slow-cooked charcoal pitted BBQ.

In 2001, Praveen took his cooking expertise to new heights by achieving his degree in culinary arts from IHM PUSA for three years. His career started in an Italian Restaurant with Michelin star influence, named Travertino, in one of New Deli’s oldest and classiest 5-star hotel restaurants.

Later, Praveen took on the role as chef de partie in Fire & Ice Grill in Dubai’s luxury 5-star hotel, Raffles. He took part in successfully winning the restaurant of the year award in 2009 for the first time.

His career later took him to Atlantis’ signature restaurant, Seafire Steakhouse, serving as the specialty sous-chef. For his second time in his career, he assisted in achieving the restaurant of the year award in 2011 for the restaurant Seafire.

Chef Praveen moved to Capital Grille in Dusit Thani, Abu Dhabi in 2016 as their sous chef. He focused on seasonality with some of the best dry, aged meats from the USA, Australia and Ireland.

In the month of June 2017, Praveen was offered the position as chef de cuisine of The Farmhouse. His inspiration for his cooking today comes from the pure-love and passion of creating full flavored dishes, all while maintaining each ingredient’s authentic nature.

His knowledge and expertise have been marinating for decades to bring you the most mouth-watering combinations of flavors your experienced palates will ever indulge in.
