A family had planned a Thanksgiving weekend stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. The Club Lounge staff learned that their daughter wanted to be a pastry chef. Identifying this as a great opportunity to create a memorable experience for the guest, the Club Lounge staff reached out to the hotel’s culinary team for assistance. The staff requested the family meet in the Lobby the next morning for a special surprise.
As the family arrived in the Lobby, the hotel’s culinary team gave them a warm welcome and presented a Ritz-Carlton apron and chef hat. The family was told that a special Chef’s tour had been arranged for them. The family was thrilled and the daughter was excited about the upcoming adventure. The family was escorted through the hotel’s kitchens and the Chef explained what we did and how all the food in the hotel was made. At the last stop, they visited the pastry kitchen where the pastry chef was hand piping a bow tie on a birthday cake.
After the tour, the family went back to the Club Lounge to enjoy the afternoon culinary presentation and later returned to their room. In their room they found a signed picture of their daughter in chef’s attire with a pastry amenity created by the pastry chef. The family was so happy to have such a personal experience created for their daughter.
