Al Bustan Palace Art Gallery & Boutique
The Al Bustan Palace new Art Gallery & Boutique features pieces of art from popular artists of diverse background and inspirations. The unique collection unveils works by seven artists from Russia, India and Oman, all currently living in Oman. Each artist showcases works from a recent collection or series, taking visitors through a journey across expressionism, realism or abstract using tools ranging from monography to illustration, calligraphy or paintings.
The initiative, brought together in collaboration with Anna Dudchenko, aims at showcasing a vast array of artistic movements representing the growing, talented Omani Art scene. The collection is open to the public daily, and located on the first floor of the hotel in the Al Bustan Palace Shops Gallery.

The waters off Oman are home to some of the finest fishing in the world more than 30 variety species are found on the coastline of the country, these fishes are well known for their quality and can be found in big markets around the world such as Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo.
This is a popular sport where camels compete at speeds of up to 64 kilometres per hour on tracks specially built for this kind of race. Races take place regularly. Go to Ras Al Jinz reserve 70 Km off Sur City and see the biggest Green Turtles Reserve in the world (50,000 Green Sea Turtles lives within 5 km ). Also famous as the first point to see sunrise in the Arab world Ras Al Hadd which is nearby from Ras Al Jinz has one of the country best beach spots.
Known as the Grand Canyon of Middle East, Jabal Shams is 3,000 meters above sea level. Located 250 kilometers away from Muscat City.
You must visit the Muttrah Souk, the oldest in Oman, to experience local trading and bargaining. In this souq you will find everything you might want to purchase as a souvenir. There is a large choice of silverwear, tradtional carved wood, clothes, and frankincense. Ensure you walk through towards the end of the souq in order to visit the gold souq.
Misfat Al Abriyeen village is located in Wilayt AlHamra in A’Dakhiliyah region.
It is characterised by its alleys, traditional buildings, high mud buildings, and agricultural terraces that wrap around the mountain, along with the old buildings.
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
Considered one of the biggest mosque in the middle east, The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque boasts an architecture affair that no other place has and looking to the biggest chandler and Persian Carpet this is an educational tour not to be missed.

Bait Al Zubair (House of Al Zubair) is a private museum displaying the Zubair family’s collection of Omani artefacts. The museum is one of country’s architectural icons and serves as a real window on Oman’s rich heritage and culture.

The Wave Golf Course
Located in Water Front Tourist & Residential Development at the back of Muscat International Airport Over 900,000m₃ of earth has now been moved to commence the creation of Oman’s first 18 holes PGA Links golf course designed by the legendary Greg Norman at The Wave expected to open fully on 2012.
Jabal Sifah Golf Course
Designed by legendary Peter Harradine the 18-hole golf course comes equipped with a high end fully functional Club House, driving range and practice facilities, and mountain-links style holes that run along the beach front. The golf course has been formulated to preserve the environment with minimal disturbance to the natural area, and elevating the surrounding views and the sea of Oman.
Al Bustan Palace Area
Visit the nearby towns of Al Bustan, Haramel, Sidab on your way to old Muscat City see the coastline by driving through this road and maybe a chance of a free catch of the day by the locals in Sidab bring that back to Al Bustan Palace and ask the chef to prepare you a meal out of it for a total authentic Omani experience.
Leave the hotel early and head down to the Muttrah Fish Market and small vegetable market to watch the fisherman bring their catch directly from their boats and sell to the local community. You will find this lots of fun and really exciting to see how the locals interact with the traders. This area offers great photo opportunities. You can find a lot of kinds of fish: tuna, shrimps, octopus and even shark sometimes.
