Surrounded by natural beauty, discover the many exciting attractions in Oman

Oman is a haven for lovers of sun and nature, with unspoiled beaches, tropical seas, mountains, wadis, caves and deserts.

With 3,165 kilometre long coastline and clean waters, there is a wealth of underwater flora, marine life and diving thrills awaiting the most discerned underwater explorer.

Annual rainfall in Muscat averages 10 cm, falling mostly in January. While the mountain areas receive more plentiful rainfall, some parts of the coast, particularly near the island of Masirah, sometimes receive no rain at all within the course of a year.

The hottest months are June through August, with daytime temperatures in the 40s (degrees centigrade), except for the coastal reaches of the southern province of Dhofar, which has a summer monsoon or khareef and lower day time temperatures. From October through March, which marks as the high season, day time temperatures fall to low 30s and below.
