China Mood

We are improving the setting of our Chinese restaurant, China Mood, from June 18 to September 1, 2014. The improvement will include an updating of restaurant interiors and furniture. 

Necessary work will be conducted daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rest assured that every effort is being made to keep disruption to guests in house to an absolute minimum noise until the project is completed. China Mood is closed during this period.

Serving authentic Chinese cuisine in the heart of Muscat, China Mood has claimed its position as one of the top Asian restaurants in Oman. The kitchen team has been specially recruited to guarantee authenticity in the food preparation and the right mix of flavours.

  • Al Bustan Palace is currently undergoing improvement projects in Al Khiran and China Mood
  • At Al Khiran, the outdoor seating area deck will be extended and sun shade will be expanded to improve guests experience.
  • Cream roller blinds will be installed inside Al Khiran as well as green mesh around the perimeter of the deck/surrounding areas, so not to obstruct our guests dining experience. 
  • China Mood is closed to improve the restaurant interiors and furniture settings.
  • Necessary work will be conducted daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

As a courtesy to the local culture, all our restaurants observe a Smart Casual dress code in the evening. Please refrain from wearing flips-flops, tank tops, athletic apparel and backpacks, as well as sleeveless tops for gentlemen and denim shorts for ladies. Long trousers and closed shoes are required for gentlemen. Walking barefoot is not allowed at any times in all restaurants.

It is strongly recommended to wear conservative clothing during the month of Ramadan as a sign of respect. There will be no alcohol service in Ramadan.
