The Golf Club of Amelia Island
Emerald greens, sapphire skies and the brilliant azure waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing against the shore are certainly the dream course of an avid golfer. However, at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, the dream becomes reality by offering guests an 18-hole PGA championship course, The Golf Club of Amelia Island, part of the exclusive surrounding community of Summer Beach. The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island is one of only a handful of resorts in the state of Florida to offer both on-property golf and beach.
Designed by golf professional Mark McCumber and Gene Littler, The Golf Club of Amelia Island's course is as beautiful as it is challenging. Carved out of the island's lush and undisturbed beachfront, fairways are framed by live oaks, palm trees and pristine sand dunes while greens offer an extra measure of difficulty with the addition of the cool Atlantic breeze.
Meticulously maintained greens, strategically bunkered fairways and the ever-changing ocean breeze affect the character of the course so that no two rounds are ever the same. Guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island enjoy priority status when confirming tee times. Group requirements are handled by the course's professional staff with tournaments, clinics and lessons easily arranged. All golfing requests may be scheduled through the resort's experienced concierge staff.
Amelia Island and the surrounding mainland offer an additional choice of four 18 hole courses, ranging in both difficulty, price and aesthetics. For more information, contact our concierge directly at (904) 321-5019.
