The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne will turn your event into the world's most spectacular party city as the ballroom is transformed to Miami Nights, complete with a Latin dance band, professional samba dancers, velvet ropes and bars that are transformed into hip clubs.

Bike Building Activity

Groups can bond with their colleagues by building bicycles for children in need. This option includes all bike parts, instructions and facilitators and staff to assist with questions. Once each group completes their bike, it will be properly inspected for safety and then donated to the Miami Boys & Girls Club. Cost ranges between $90-$150, depending upon number of participants. As a nostalgic element, The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne offers a “Second Childhood Break” including a popcorn machine, cotton candy machine, assorted nostalgic cookies and candy (Juji Fruits, Neco Wafers, Tootsie Rolls, etc) and assorted fun sodas (Orange Crush, Hires Root Beer, 7-Up, Yoo-hoo). This is priced at $25 per person. A surprise visit from the Ice Cream Truck is offered for an additional $15 per person.

Ocean Awareness Experience at Miami Seaquarium

Participants contribute to maintaining Key Biscayne’s beautiful beaches and marine wildlife. The day begins with a brief educational classroom session to learn about the ocean environment and some of the threats that today’s marine creatures face. Following, they would assist with a beach cleanup, ridding the area of trash and debris. They would then experience a behind-the-scenes tour in the park’s marine animal rehabilitation area for injured sea turtles and manatees. Cost is $75 per person. The program offers the additional option for the Dolphin Odyssey experience, where guests swim with the dolphins for an extra $199 per person.

Travel Mugs

In an effort to reduce waste from bottled water and plastic cups, the Banquet menu offers colorful travel mugs with The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne logo. These mugs also provide the added convenience of beverages on the go and are great items to take home, especially when coupled with the resort’s re-usable “Boxed Lunch” container. Each mug costs $14.50, with $1 from each purchase donated to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Pay-it-forward

In place of the traditional amenities placed in guestrooms, The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne offers a gift card from the venue and denomination of choice. Accompanying the card is a letter encouraging recipients to take their new gift and “pay-it-forward” by giving it to someone in need, thus perpetuating acts of kindness.

Meeting Enhancers

Breathing Breakout: The essence of life, a simple breath is extremely powerful in relaxing the body, relieving stress, and clearing the mind. Certified fitness instructors teach your attendees how to maximize their breathing, enabling them to live and work more efficiently.

Posture Perfect: Fighting fatigue and aches and pains can be as simple as sitting up straight. Attendees will learn simple exercises to help them achieve and maintain ideal posture throughout long work days, helping to increase comfort level and reduce common pains associated with poor posture like low back and neck pain.

Chair Exercises: A simple work-out while you work. Focused isometric seated exercises tone and strengthen abdominal, back and leg muscles without standing up or breaking a sweat.

Ergonomics: Safety first. This session will provide instruction on how to sit properly, set up work stations safely, and avoid pain and repetitive stress injuries like carpel tunnel.

Taiji – Ideal after long meeting sessions. Incorporates a gentle series of basic Taichi movements done in standing poses to warm-up stiff joints and tight muscles without perspiring.

Taiji Walking and Taiji Ball – Taiji Walking allows us to reign in our senses by using slow movements to gently stretch the body and then calm the senses through a series of simple steps done upright in a walking style. This marriage of breathing and slow stepping creates inner harmony and generates mental focus. Taiji Ball enhances energy using circular arm movements coordinated with gentle up and down motion of the legs in a stationary standing posture, brings greater clarity to the mind while encouraging blood circulation.

Qigong – Following an exciting and interactive brainstorming session, pull all those fresh ideas into place with breathing and standing poses that centers the inner calm and alert mind.

Partner Yoga – Promote team building with a series of stretching exercises done seated or standing. These partnered exercises help with blood circulation and provide a mental break.

Yoga Nidra, Basic Breathing or Meditation – A mini-retreat for the mind that revitalizes the entire system. Verbally guided techniques are designed to calm the mind and are done standing, seated, or lying down.

These exercises can be done in socked or bare feet and in loose clothing. 10, 20, or 30 minute sessions. 10 minutes - $10 per guest; 20 minutes- $12 per guest; 30 minutes - $15 per guest
