The resort can also arrange for a Shoe Butler, who can provide guests personalized flip flops, while safe-keeping their dress shoes during the ceremony.

Davis Room

Located on the second level of the resort, this intimate room contains floor to ceiling windows with ocean views and a Romeo & Juliet-esque French balcony overlooking the airy Lobby Lounge. This space can accommodate dinners of up to 50 with no dance floor and is also perfect for welcome cocktail receptions and/or dinners.

Ocean View Foyer

Adjacent to the Grand Ballroom, this stunning pre-reception and cocktail space spans 60 feet that opens onto an oceanfront outdoor terrace overlooking the Gazebo Lawn and Atlantic Ocean.

Let us help you with every detail – from selecting the perfect beach wedding location or setting the scene indoors at our fabulous oceanfront ballroom.

What does a typical wedding cost at The Ritz-Carlton?

Cost varies based upon the bride and groom preference. We are happy to send you a few sample packages and quotes for review.

What does The Ritz-Carlton provide for a wedding?

In addition to space and service, your wedding package provides banquet and highboy cocktail tables, chairs, dance floor, staging, china and a selection of linens. We can also work with you on upgrades items and rental services, such as menu cards, enhanced lighting and specialty chairs, linens and china.

Who will help me through the wedding planning process?

Our Weddings Team consists of a Wedding Sales Consultant and Weddings Service Managers. 

Upon contacting the resort, a Wedding Sales Consultant will:

  • Check availability for preferred dates

  • Provide a tour of the wedding locations to select venue/s that meet your needs

  • Create a personalized wedding proposal outlining costs inclusive of food, beverage and space rental fees

  • Work with Reservations Manager to establish a guest room block with preferred rates

  • Work with you to understand your vision determine any additional services needed

  • Create Weddings Agreement to secure your date and venue/s

Once your Wedding Agreement has been signed and returned, our Wedding Services Manager will work with you on every detail including:

  • Confirm your preferences and help design your event

  • Recommend vendors in areas such as wedding planning, floral design, photography, videography, officiate, entertainment, invitations, bridal attire and beauty consultants

  • Act as your wedding liaison between your selected wedding vendors and the resort

  • Layout your floor plan including placement of tables, dance floor, bar and wedding cake and any additional displays

  • If applicable, schedule tasting with the Chef and work with you to create your personalized wedding menu

  • Develop ceremony and reception timeline

  • Monitor your guest room block

  • Detail a Wedding Resume outlining all your event specifics to communicate all aspects of your wedding to the hotel

  • Oversee Ceremony and Reception set-up, food preparations and all other resort operations

  • Create an estimate of charges outlining your financial commitment and deposit schedule

  • Review accuracy of banquet check prior to completion of your final bill

In addition, your Wedding Service Manager, as well as a Wedding Concierge, will be with you during the time leading up to the event and day of the wedding to ensure each detail is executed flawlessly and your vision is brought to life.

On the day of the wedding, will there be anyone to personally assist me with pop-up needs and requests?

We provide the bride with a personal wedding butler, who will be at your side throughout the day, assuring undivided attention and providing special niceties such as presenting cool-scented towels on warm days, perfecting your dress in advance of a photo or touching up lipstick.

What wedding activities are available for my guests?

The resort’s four dining outlets offer private dining experiences for pre-wedding events such as reception dinners or bridal luncheons, while our destination spa can help you and your bridesmaids unwind with an extensive menu of calming therapies and salon services, as well as a whirlpool, sauna and steam room and relaxation solarium that will have you glowing for the big day.

Your guests will bond over a fun-filled weekend with an array of recreational offerings including Hobie Cat and kayak rentals from the beach, boating and fishing tours, biking excursions through lush park paths, eco-tours or a journey to the nearby historic Cape Florida Lighthouse. Those seeking to simply unwind can enjoy one of the two outdoor pools or a cabana/welcome gathering on the sand in Dune Oceanfront Burger Lounge. Furthermore, Miami’s many attractions including South Beach, Art Deco district and myriad museums, dining and shopping lay just a 15 minute drive away.

Do you have a florist on-site?

No. However, we have a list of recommended vendors who can assist with beautiful floral creations.

Does your resort provide a complimentary bridal suite?

For parties of 100 or more, we provide a complimentary room to the bride and groom the night of their wedding.

Is there a special room rate available for my guests?

A special rate can be extended for wedding parties requiring 10 rooms or more. This rate varies based upon the time of the year.

I’d like to welcome my guests staying at the hotel with something special. Can the resort assist me with this?

Our Amenity Coordinator will work with you in designing personal welcome gifts, favors, and bridal party gifts. We strive to create meaningful gifts that envelop your personality. Cost may vary per amenity.

Are there certain dates where the cost is less to book a wedding?

The resort can extend more pricing flexibility over the following dates: 

  • June 1 – August 31

In addition, the resort tends to have more space availability over weekday dates.

What is helpful to know when contacting the resort?

For our Wedding Team to best serve you, it is helpful to know an estimated number of guests (and how many will be from out of town), desired date and any flexibility you may have on that date. Please note our resort can accommodate weddings from two to 500 guests.

Can I plan only my ceremony at the hotel?

The resort ceremony locations are reserved exclusively for weddings holding a reception at the resort.

Can I have my ceremony on the beach?

Yes, we conduct ceremonies on the beach all the time.

Do you offer outdoor reception venues?

We do have outdoor reception venue options; however, please be advised that all outdoor events are limited to 10 p.m. due to a city noise ordinance.

All events booked outdoors are reserved with an indoor back-up location. Your specific back-up location will be guaranteed 30 days prior to your wedding.

I’m from out of town and I’m not sure which vendors to use. Can you recommend any?

We can provide a preferred vendor list and when you choose your vendors, we’ll work hand-in-hand with them to ensure your wedding is a complete success. Please keep in mind that any vendors you choose must have $1 million liability insurance.

What is the process for obtaining a marriage license?

The Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts is located approximately 20 minutes from the resort at:

A couple who intends to be married in Florida may obtain a marriage license from Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at any Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Hours may vary so be sure to call ahead. The license does not need to be issued in the county that the ceremony will take place in. The ceremony must take place in the State of Florida to be considered valid. There is a three-day waiting period before the license becomes effective.  A marriage license is valid for 60 days.

Can I have my dress shipped?

We can provide contacts of local vendors in the area that will receive, press and deliver your dress to the hotel in time for your wedding day.

For liability reasons, we do not hold dresses beforehand.

Who will help me get dressed/bustle my gown?

There are several outside local dress specialists who are intimately familiar with weddings gowns. We are happy to recommend and coordinate securing one of these specialists to help you get ready before the ceremony, bustle the gown before the reception, as well as steam and apply other touch ups to ensure you look perfect for the big day.

Do you provide hair and makeup services?

Our spa and full-service salon offers a range of services including hair and makeup professionals who will work with you to create your desired look, as well as cater to the beauty needs of the bridal party. You may also use an outside makeup artist and hair stylist.

Can I have my photos taken at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami?

Photography is permitted exclusively for couples having their wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami.

Initial Planning

(approximately, but not limited to 6-12 months prior)

  • Contact our Weddings Sales Consultant to check availability

  • Tour property and determine venues that best fit your needs

  • Reserve your event by having your Weddings Sales Consultant create a Wedding Agreement detailing the date, time, venue/s, room block and deposit schedule

  • Return your Wedding Agreement within one week and with a 25% non-refundable deposit

Detail Planning Stage

(from contract signing to two months prior)

  • Complete your Wedding Planning Guide provided by your Wedding Services Manager

  • Research and book wedding vendors

  • Schedule tasting with the culinary team if applicable and create your wedding menu

  • Design your room layout with your Wedding Service Manager

  • Provide a 50% non-refundable deposit 90 days prior to your wedding date

  • Book Rehearsal Dinner, Bridal Luncheon, Spa, Golf, and other guest activities

Final Planning Stage

(approximately one month prior to wedding day)

  • Provide a final deposit based on estimated charges 21 days prior

  • Finalize ceremony and reception timeline

  • Finalize and confirm vendor details

  • Sign and return Banquet Event Orders detailing all food and beverage for your wedding at least two weeks prior

  • Provide a final guest count to your Wedding Services Manager 72 business hours in advance

All events at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami are catered by our exceptional culinary team, who are intimately familiar with all types of cuisine. We encourage you to speak with your Weddings Sales Consultant about the menu options.

Is a tasting included in my wedding package?

A tasting is included for wedding parties of 100 or more. Your Service Manager will coordinate a meeting with the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef, who will work with you to create a personalized menu.

Do you have a pastry chef in-house to make my wedding cake?

Our phenomenal Master Pastry Chef Levi Richard will ensure a delicious finale to your wedding menu. Whether you prefer a traditional design, a unique shape or personalized touch, he will work with you to create the wedding cake of your dreams. Furthermore, our culinary team can create an impressive dessert buffet of exquisite individual pastries.

Do you offer Kosher menus?

We work closely with several certified Kosher caterers and are happy to provide recommendations. The resort can also provide your caterer kosher facilities for food preparation and set-up.

Do you offer ethnic cuisine?

Our culinary team is happy to create customized menus incorporating authentic ethnic cuisine. The chefs are particularly familiar with Indian, Mexican, Italian, Spanish, as well as Kosher dishes.

We are having a green themed wedding. What are your organic offerings?

Our culinary team is happy to work with you to incorporate sustainable and organic products into your menu. Please note this may increase the total cost of your food & beverage package, as these ingredients tend to be more expensive.

Conference and Hollow Square
Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.
E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape
Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
Theater
Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
Reception
Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
Schoolroom or Classroom
The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
