The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe hotel is situated mid-mountain in the Northstar-at-Tahoe ski resort and is scheduled to open December 9, 2009. The resort will feature ski-in, ski-out access in winter with ski concierge services, a restaurant by Traci des Jardins a renowned San Francisco celebrity chef, a 17,000-square-foot spa and fitness center and preferred access to the Old Greenwood and Coyote Moon golf courses. This hotel in Lake Tahoe is the first new-build resort development in the area in decades. Anticipated to be Northern California’s premier sophisticated mountain retreat, The Ritz-Carlton resort in Lake Tahoe will introduce its legendary five-star service on December 9, 2009, a service level unseen before in this region.

The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe will feature a 17,000 square foot spa and fitness center with 16 treatment rooms, ladies' and gentlemen's lounge areas with sauna, steam and whirlpool. Two outdoor swimming pools allow guests the option of swimming laps or relaxing slope side by the pool. The fitness center, with state-of-the art weight training and cardiovascular offers a variety of exercise and yoga classes.

Resort Fee
The daily resort fee of $25 USD per room covers guest room wired or wireless high-speed internet access, local telephone calls, toll-free telephone access, daily newspaper, shuttle or Highlands Gondola services within Northstar Resort , full access to the fitness center, spa and adult pool, daily group exercise  and in-room coffee.
