The Ritz-Carlton Bear is hidden in secret places throughout the Living Room for a game of hide-and-seek.  Children simply need to find the bear and disclose the location to a concierge desk the Concierge and Adventure Center to choose a prize.

Art of Mixology

Manzanita, Sundays, December 4 and December 11 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. $50 per person

This entertaining, educational experience will feature freshly cut herbs, classic ingredients such as bitters and infused liquors to create three unique cocktails paired with appetizers. Noel Night

The Village at Northstar California Resort, Thursdays, December 8, December 15 and December 22 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. À la carte pricing

Noel Nights invites families and friends to partake in classic holiday festivities for the first three weeks in December at the Village at Northstar. Kids will delight in writing letters to Santa and having their picture taken with him – don’t forget your season pass to download the images from home! During Noel Nights The Village at Northstar transforms into a winter wonderland featuring horse-drawn sleigh rides, complimentary ice skating, s’mores and hot cocoa by the fire pits, special shopping and dining offers and more.

Holiday Waxed Ornaments

The Living Room, Saturday, December 17 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. $20 per person

During this workshop, you learn how to color and design your own Tahoe holiday themed ornaments. Learn how to preserve the delicate mulberry paper keepsakes by dipping into encaustic wax!

Holiday Wrapping Paper

The Living Room, Thursday, December 22 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. $20 per person

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Get crafty with Atelier Truckee just in time for the holidays. Design and hand stamp your very own wrapping paper in the Living Room.

Pine Cone Fire Starters

The Living Room, Friday, December 23 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. $25 per person, including three pinecones each

This 10-15 minute drop-in workshop will feature pinecones from the area to make waxed fire starters. After dipping the cones in natural pine and vanilla scented soy wax, you will choose a salt to roll it in. The different salts produce different flame colors. These can be used in your next campfire or in your home as a keepsake.

Winter Star Gazing Snowshoe Tour

Northstar California & The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, December 21, December 29 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. $63 per adult, $45 per child (ages 10 to 12), plus snow shoe rental fee of $21.

Take advantage of the dark skies above Northstar on a snowshoe tour and telescopic viewing with star guide and poet Tony Berendsen. The guided tour begins at the Cross Country Ski, Telemark and Snowshoe Center and meanders through the serene forest while observing the starry sky above.  At the end for your mountain adventure, enjoy an educational presentation that includes a laser tour of the constellations, telescopic viewing, a fun space quiz with prizes, poetry reading and more on the back terrace of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe.

The Gingerbread Workshop

Kids and kids at heart are invited to work alongside a Ritz-Carlton pastry chef in this one-of-a-kind workshop where you will work together with your family to build a personalized gingerbread house fit for the North Pole. Welcome to Ritz Kids, a special program full of adventure. A variety of activities are offered throughout the week derived from four themes: Land, Water, Culture and Environmental Responsibility. This hands‐on, interactive program allows kids to connect with our mountain setting in fun and creative ways designed just for them.

Full Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; $130 per child including lunch
Half Day: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or) 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; $100 per child including lunch
Kids Night Out: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; $100 per child including dinner
Short Day (two hour intervals) Available by advance reservation beginning at 1 p.m.; $75 per every two hours

Designed for children ages 4 to 8, the Indoor Campout package brings the fun and excitement of a camping experience to the comfort of your guest room. Package includes a 4’ X 3’ tent complete with Ritz-Carlton linens and featherbed, activity book with crayons, camp light teddy bear and a s’mores kit that can be enjoyed by the whole family at the Fire Pit. Package is based upon availability; advance reservations are strongly recommended. There is a maximum of two tent packages per room.

Ritz Kids

Offered daily with recommended advanced reservations and based upon availability with the Hotel Concierge for children ages 5 through 12

Welcome to Ritz Kids, a special program full of adventure. A variety of activities are offered throughout the week derived from four themes: Land, Water, Culture and Environmental Responsibility. This hands‐on, interactive program allows kids to connect with our mountain setting in fun and creative ways designed just for them.

Full Day: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; $130 per child including lunch
Half Day: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or) 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; $100 per child including lunch
Kids Night Out: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; $100 per child including dinner
Short Day (two hour intervals) Available by advance reservation beginning at 1 p.m.; $75 per every two hours

A 50% discount will be applied to one additional child per family.  Advance reservations are recommended and based upon availability by contacting the Hotel Concierge at extension 3046.  

Just for Kids Indoor Campout

$100 per child

Designed for children ages 4 to 8, the Indoor Campout package brings the fun and excitement of a camping experience to the comfort of your guest room. Package includes a 4’ X 3’ tent complete with Ritz-Carlton linens and featherbed, activity book with crayons, camp light teddy bear and a s’mores kit that can be enjoyed by the whole family at the Fire Pit. Package is based upon availability; advance reservations are strongly recommended. There is a maximum of two tent packages per room.
