Montreal (Quebec) November 16th, 2015 - It is not often that car lovers are treated to the launch of a category-defining automobile that raises the bar so high that it stands alone. On December 3rd 2015, Bentley finally unveils in Montreal its eagerly anticipated Bentayga, the first SUV ever produced by the iconic automaker and the most luxurious vehicle in its class, it will proudly showcase the results of years of research and development, conducted in as much secrecy as today’s connected world would allow.

The development program for the Bentayga has been the most exhaustive in the Bentley brand’s history, ranging across five continents. From the dirt and gravel of South Africa and the dunes of Dubai, to the muddy fields of Cheshire, and from -30°C in the frozen North Cape to searing 50°C desert heat, the Bentayga’s ability to perform on any surface and even in the most extreme conditions has been proven. The Bentayga has also driven more than 400 laps of the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, as part of developing the dynamic performance of the chassis and fine-tuning its control and stability systems. The unique features of the Nordschleife circuit, including the high level of topographical change, variety of surface grip levels, and wide range of cornering speeds, made it the perfect place to put to the test the lofty performance objectives set by Bentley’s engineers.

The Bentley Bentayga boasts the world’s finest automotive cabin, with unrivalled levels of precision. The detailing in metal, wood and leather – including meticulous tolerances between elements of trim – is the epitome of modern British luxury, a level of perfection only achievable thanks to the exceptional craft and skill of Bentley’s colleagues in Crewe (UK).

An all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine is at the heart of the Bentayga. The mighty 12-cylinder unit combines efficiency and refinement with ultra-luxurious levels of power and torque. With 608 PS (600 bhp / 447kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb. ft) delivering a 0-60 mph time of 4.0 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds) and a top speed of 187 mph (301 km/h), the Bentayga is the world’s most powerful and fastest SUV.

This seamless integration of the ultimate in artisan luxury design with unmatched performance has delighted and surprised not only Bentley loyalist, but also luxury car aficionados in general since the Bentayga’s full public debut at the 2015 IAA Frankfurt Show this past September. To mark the occasion, Bentley Montreal, Quebec’s exclusive Bentley dealer, has lined up a series of holiday-inspired activities on December 3rd, beginning with an exclusive media preview at 10 a.m. at its dealership location, 8255 Bougainville Street. The vehicle will be presented by Mr. Kim Airey, Chief Operating Officer of Bentley Motors, Inc.

At the end of the presentation, the Bentayga, escorted by a cavalcade of vehicles, will embark on the first ever Drive for Toys by Decarie Motors, a series of pit stops around downtown Montreal to collect toys donated by businesses and the public. In the evening, the Bentayga will return to Bentley Montreal, where it will be unveiled at a private event for VIP clients of the brand and their guests, who are expected to donate over 300 additional toys for children in need.

For its 2015 Toy Drive, Bentley Montreal is proud to partner up with the Montreal Gazette and the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, treasured Montreal institutions in their own right, who continue to showcase an undeterred commitment to the wellbeing of their community. Starting on November 23rd, 2015 and until December 3rd, at 12 p.m., the public is invited to donate toys to the Drive for Toys by bringing them to Decarie Motors (8255 Bougainville Street), the Montreal Gazette (1010 Ste-Catherine Street West) and Ritz-Carlton Montreal (1228 Sherbrooke Street West). All toys, must be delivered new in their original packaging and unwrapped at the designated drop-off spots at each location. Following their collection of December 3rd, Bentley Montreal will handle the gift-wrapping and age-appropriate identification of each toy, and personally deliver the generous donations to CHU Sainte-Justine and the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Decarie Motors is Montreal’s iconic destination for Bentley Montreal, Aston Martin Montreal, Jaguar and Land Rover since 1946. Its owners and team invite and encourage everyone to contribute to the Drive for Toys and make Christmas a merrier time for as many children as possible.
