DESIGN INSPIRATION
A MAGICAL BLEND OF HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY INFLUENCES.
The new hotel design embraces the heritage of historical Istanbul and marries it with a contemporary spirit to create a beautiful combination of Eastern and Western influences that are found within the city.
Every room is beautifully decorated with contemporary pieces from Turkish artists, including a famed artwork "At Nağme" by Süleyman Saim Tekcan, a precious representative of Turkish Gravure Art, as well as glazed replicas of ancient coins from the reign of Selim III, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.
Meeting spaces were re-imagined by well-known Turkish architect, Hakan Yürüoğlu. The most dramatic redesign can be found in The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom. Here a staggered wall panelling reflects a contemporary take on Bosphorus’ waves, while a lilac colouring in the flooring and majestic crystal chandeliers take inspiration from the indigenous flowers of Istanbul.
