THE RITZ-CARLTON, VIENNA

A VIENNA RETREAT WHERE MOMENTS ARE CRAFTED TO INSPIRE

Vienna is synonymous with historical architecture and classical arts, but a new side of the city is emerging with pop-up concerts, an innovative arts scene and a boundary-pushing culinary culture. Set amid this vibrant setting, The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna plays the perfect host for your city adventure.

MAKE A GRAND ENTRANCE

Twenty minutes from the international airport, the city begins to unfold: wide boulevards, Stadtpark and the iconic Ringstrasse. Here in the city’s cultural heart, set within four 19th-century palaces, The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna awaits. Upon arrival, freshen up with chilled towels and champagne or a freshly brewed tea.
Then, it’s time to…

SETTLE IN

Executive Suite

To get a taste of city living, one must have a place to call home. Hotel accommodations, among the largest in Vienna, borrow elements from luxury residences and overlook the courtyard, city or park. On the seventh floor, the Club Lounge provides an exclusive retreat closely tied to what makes Vienna special. In the loft-inspired space, guests may learn how to prepare Viennese coffee beverages; relish each bite of the day’s fresh, homemade apple strudel; and discover the complexities of Austrian beers and wines.

FOR YOUNGER VISITORS

Kids have a dedicated space in the Club Lounge filled with books, games and more. In the lobby, find complimentary treats including candies, Austria’s classic, chocolate-coated Schwedenbomben or, in summer, homemade ice cream.

VENTURE OUTSIDE

The best way to experience Vienna is with someone who knows it well.
Join the hotel’s local experts as they introduce you to some of their favorite places in the city.

GUIDED RUNS

Explore Vienna’s prestigious Ring Boulevard, or Ringstrasse, with the hotel’s running concierge. During the 3.5-mile route, you’ll learn about the area’s most important monuments and its hidden gems.

CHEF-LED MARKET TOURS

Join the hotel’s executive chef for a guided tour of Vienna’s famous Naschmarkt, where you’ll find local and international delicacies. The adjacent Saturday flea market is a must for those seeking one-of-a-kind treasures.

Wine Tours

HOUSE WINE TOURS

Vienna is the only European capital to grow wine within its city limits, and autumn’s Heurigen season is perfect for strolling through vineyards followed by a tavern meal of homemade Austrian fare and the year’s new wines.

EXPAND YOUR PALATE

In Vienna, dining out is an immersion into the city’s multifaceted cultural landscape. The Ritz-Carlton elevates the experience with its own collection of bars and restaurants featuring locally sourced ingredients and inventive cocktails and cuisine.

Patio seating that wraps around the corner of the building and features potted plants and tables draped in white runners

DSTRIKT STEAKHOUSE

Home of Vienna’s only Sunday steak brunch, this restaurant is renowned for its rare prime cuts, sourced from Austria, and their preparation on the charcoal-fired Josper grill.

PASTAMARA

The story of Sicilian cuisine is told with a fresh, contemporary spin at this “bar con cucina.” Created by chef Ciccio Sultano, whose last restaurant earned two Michelin stars, the menu features reimaginations of classic dishes.

D-BAR

Cocktails here are revealed rather than served, performance pieces prepared with molecular and smoking techniques. The passport-inspired menu showcases ingredients and flavors from around the world.

Rooftop Bar

ATMOSPHERE ROOFTOP BAR

In the summer, this rooftop bar is the place for light bites, regionally sourced wines and creative cocktails. In winter, it transforms into a festive Christmas Market. Throughout the year, it offers a spectacular view across the city.

TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF

If you’ve still got energy to burn after a day of exploration, four-time Austrian boxing champion Reza Tamasebi offers one-on-one training at the Gentlemen’s Private Boxing Club. Set within the hotel’s luxurious surroundings, the boxing gym features the essentials for training: a professional ring, punching bags, gloves and wraps. Private, one-hour sessions are taught by Tamasebi himself, who pushes students through rigorous, full-body training. Despite the name, women are encouraged to participate, and sessions are open to guests of all ages.

After a full day of activity, at least a few hours of recovery are warranted. The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Vienna features organic treatments from Susanne Kaufmann, the mind behind Austria’s premier line of herbal active cosmetics. Kaufmann’s journey with wellness and natural healing began as a child in Austria‘s Bregenz Forest and shines through in the spa’s detox rituals, anti-aging facials, comforting body treatments and restorative massages.
