Hotel Policies

Fees

  • Total room tax is 12%, which includes 5% occupancy and 7% sales tax
  • Guests must cancel at least 7 days in advance of arrival.
    Cancellation policy may vary during holidays and special events and is subject to change without notice.

Check In/Check Out

  • Check-In:  4 p.m. 
    Check-Out:  11 a.m.

Parking

Valet parking only:

  • Overnight parking $40 USD per day, per car, plus tax.
  • Day parking $15 USD per day, per car, plus tax. Complimentary with validated ticket from a resort outlet.

Dogs

  • Dog-friendly accommodations are conveniently located on a low floor of the resort when available
  • Dogs must be 30 lbs. or less. No more than two dogs may occupy each guestroom
  • Dog must be carried in arms inside the hotel
  • $150 non-refundable cleaning fee
  • $20 per day fee
  • With the exception of service dogs, dogs are not allowed in the fitness center, Spa, pool areas, retail shops, meeting rooms, family game room, Ritz kids, Club Lounge and in all areas where food and beverage is served.
  • We reserve the right to require immediate removal of any dog that displays dangerous or unacceptable behavior
  • Additional fees may be charged for dog damages

Resort Fee
The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island assesses a $40 resort fee per room, per night. Amenities and services* provided in the resort fee include:

  • High-speed wireless in-room internet access for up to five devices
  • One fitness class daily, per room
  • Two bicycles for two hours per day
  • Use of practice facilities and one bag of range balls at The Golf Club of Amelia Island. Proper golf attire is required.
  • Tennis court privileges including racquets and balls for one hour per day
  • Beach umbrella (one per room)
  • Two beach boogie boards for two hours

Our Commitment to Resource Conservation

Our luxury hotel in Amelia Island has been recognized and certified by the state of Florida’s “Green Lodging Program” for efforts to conserve resources and protect our environment.

Our current initiatives include:

  • Recycling of aluminum, tin, cardboard, glass, plastic and scrap metal 
  • Collecting all recyclable items from guestrooms, bars, recreation facilities, the spa, beverage storage, general storage, kitchens, meeting rooms and administrative offices 
  • Wattage-correct halogen bulbs in public areas and extended-life fluorescent bulbs in non-guest areas 
  • Recycling of fluorescent bulbs and tubes 
  • Motion sensors in non-guest areas to conserve electrical usage 
  • Timers placed in walk-in coolers to reduce electrical usage 
  • Timers and photocells on exterior lighting 
  • Low flow shower heads to conserve water 
  • Rain sensors to conserve water used for landscaping 
  • Replaced magnetic ballasts for electronic ones to conserve energy 
  • Implementation of hotel-wide Energy Management System to monitor usage and maximize energy consumption for heating, ventilation and air conditioning 
  • High efficient boilers and heaters for domestic water supply 
  • Steam reclamation from laundry to provide supplemental water heating in service kitchens 
  • Implementation of hotel’s Energy Action Conservation Team (R.E.A.C.T.)
