Anthony Aviles, General Manager

Sarasota native, Anthony Aviles, has been entrenched in the hospitality industry from a young age first getting his start in working numerous positions in the five-star restaurant at The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort.  Upon graduating from The University of South Florida - Sarasota/Manatee with a degree in Hospitality Management, Anthony continued to define his career path in the industry at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, holding general manager positions at nearly all of the restaurants on property, before taking on the role of Assistant Food & Beverage Director at The Lido Beach Resort.  In his position at Jack Dusty as General Manager, Anthony looks to bring the level of service well-known to those who frequent the restaurant while working to build impactful relationships with local organizations, and striving to continuously innovate and wow guests after each visit.  If guests ask Anthony what his favorite dish at Jack Dusty is, he is sure to say the 1855 New York Strip, paired with Muga Rioja while overlooking the marina as the sun goes down over Sarasota.

Andrew Thompson, Chef de Cuisine

With more than twenty five years of professional cooking and culinary experience, Chef Andrew Thompson brings passion, expertise and a remarkable record of achievement to the Jack Dusty kitchen. Originally from the United Kingdom, Chef Andrew trained at City & Guilds and has worked alongside top chefs including Marco Pierre White, Charlie Palmer and Phillip Howard. He began his career as Sous Chef at Aureole in Manhattan, where he quickly progressed to Head Chef of a newly created restaurant, Lenox Room.

Chef Andrew’s mastery lead him back to the UK to pursue an Executive Head Chef position at Michelin-starred restaurant, L’Escargot. After four years, he opened his first fine dining restaurant in London and with great success, opened his second establishment a few years later. In March 2010, Chef Andrew brought his extensive skills to Florida, where he has offered innovative cuisine to the Sarasota area in many atmospheres. He is dedicated to providing a whimsical dining experience that showcases quality ingredients at their peak. With Chef Andrew at the helm, Jack Dusty will become a place not only revered for its food, but a relaxed and fun environment for guests to create memories.

Megan Neal, Events Coordinator

A true Sarasotan, Megan has been in the event planning industry for over four years working within the non-profit sector hosting events big and small. Mrs. Neal holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida – Sarasota/Manatee, and is a proud wife, daughter, sister, and aunt to a large and vibrant family (that you are sure to hear her talk about often). She joined Jack’s Crew May of 2019 where she will take her passion for creating unique experience and memories and combine it with her love for community and marketing to bring Jack’s story (and yours) to life.
