Creative cocktail and dessert inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors

ATLANTA, GA – November 16, 2018 – The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta invites guests to indulge their senses with a taste inspired by the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors exhibit about to open at The HIGH Museum.  This eagerly anticipated show is visually interactive with an explosion of colors, shapes and ideas as is the exclusive dessert and cocktail featured in the hotel’s Lobby bar, Lumen.

Modeled after Kusama’s exhibit All The Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins, Pastry Chef Katrina Pagan’s dessert has brought these polka dotted orange gourds to edible life with matching flavor.  The homemade Pumpkin Mousse set on a Graham Sable Breton is then glazed with a Mango Gel and dotted for drama.

Set in the artist’s signature color, the featured cocktail is designed after her first Infinity Mirror room Phalli’s Field. The drink’s bold red accents mirror Kusama’s installation, filled with eye-catching red pearls created from peppermint schnapps, cranberry juice and pomegranate syrup dropped into an alginate spherification bath and then added to Godiva white chocolate liqueur, coconut rum, heavy cream and house-infused ginger syrup.

Before or after your visit to The HIGH Museum enjoy the Infinity Mirrors inspired cocktail and dessert in Lumen, served until February 17, 2019, the entire time Kusama’s exhibit is visiting Atlanta.  Advance tickets for Infinity Mirrors have sold out, but there is still an opportunity to see the exhibition. The HIGH Museum will sell approximately 100 tickets onsite each day beginning one hour before the museum opens. Maximum two tickets per person.

Lumen the Lobby bar with a modern vibe and contemporary elegance is open seven days a week from 2:30 to 11 p.m. For additional information, please call 404-221-6550 or visit
