With its natural beauty, history, and proximity to Miami, The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami is the perfect place to discover all that South Florida has to offer.

Planning Your Trip

Discovered by artists and intellectuals in the 19th century, Coconut Grove is Miami’s oldest neighborhood. Its bohemian spirit (think sidewalk cafés and charming boutiques reminiscent of a European village) remains, even with the influx of upscale condos. Here’s what to pack to explore this colorful neighborhood and its diverse environs.

Immerse yourself in a world of opulence as you explore CocoWalk's refined ambiance, tailored to the discerning tastes of boutique enthusiasts. Stroll through lush courtyards adorned with swaying palm trees, creating a picturesque backdrop for shopping and lush surroundings for local events.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Vizcaya is a National Historic Landmark — a serene and stunningly beautiful retreat in the heart of Miami, built by agricultural industrialist James Deering, who wintered on the property from 1916–1925. Today, the extraordinary European-inspired estate includes a Main House filled with art and furnishings, ten acres of gardens on Biscayne Bay, a hardwood hammock (native forest), and an historic village.

Dinner Key Marina

Named for it’s beauty as a picnic spot while traveling by boat along Miami’s coastal waterways, Dinner Key Marina remains a popular spot for boat slips and fishing charters and is walking distance from the hotel.

The Barnacle State Historic Site

Home to Ralph Middleton Munroe, one of Coconut Grove’s most influential pioneers, the Barnacle is the oldest home in Miami-Dade County still in its original location. It is now operated as a state park with tours at scheduled times.

Regatta Park

The larger area surrounding Dinner Key Marina, Regatta Park is a popular viewing point for sailing regattas and watching the sun move over Biscayne Bay. The park also hosts a variety of events every year including the Sailing World Cup and the Coconut Grove Arts Festival.

Crandon Park and Beach

Minutes drive from the hotel, this park offers a variety of Miami sun-filled activities. Crandon Park features two beach areas on the ocean and Biscayne Bay side of Key Biscayne, tennis courts, golf facilities, nature center and marina.
