José has twice been on TIME’s “100 Most Influential People” list, was awarded the 2015 National Humanities Medal by President Obama, and has earned four Michelin stars. In 2010, José formed World Central Kitchen, a non-profit which uses the power of food to nourish communities and strengthen economies in times of crisis and beyond. Specializing in delivering food relief in the wake of natural and humanitarian disasters in the U.S. and abroad, since its inception WCK has served more than 100 million meals to people in need.
