For your convenience, we have compiled answers to common questions you may find helpful in choosing the types of treatment that best meet your individual needs or desires.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid being charged the full service fee. Treatments cancelled or rescheduled the day of the appointment will be subject at the time you book your treatments. Groups are subject to a 30-day cancellation policy. Please see the Group Coordinator for additional information.

What about gratuities?
For your convenience, we customarily suggest a 20 percent gratuity, however gratuities are left to the discretion of the guest. If you choose, you may opt to leave additional gratuity for your service provider.

What about payment for Spa services?
We accept all major credit cards and traveler's checks. You may also charge spa services to your hotel bill. For your convenience, payment is also accepted prior to your treatments, upon request.

Is there a minimum age for treatments?
Guests must be at least 18 years of age to experience a spa treatment. Salon services are available for all ages.

What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.

What are the hours of operation at The Spa?
Thursday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Friday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. 

When should I arrive?
For your comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow you to relax in our lounge.

What should I wear during my treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing, however, please wear whatever makes you comfortable. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being treated. Before and after your treatment, robes and slippers are provided.

What about my jewelry and valuables?
If you are staying in the hotel, please leave valuable items in the safe in your guestroom. Otherwise, lockers are available for your personal items in The Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for gentlemen prior to a facial. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours before the scheduled appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to body treatments or hair removal services.

What about my comfort?
This is your time, and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it's the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please notify us of any discomforts or preferences. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off in The Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Who can guide me in choosing my treatments?
Our Spa Concierge can assist you in planning the perfect spa experience, including the best order for your treatments.

What are the hours for the relaxation pool and whirpool?
Locker Rooms, Relaxation Pool & Whirlpool Hours of Availability:

  • Monday – Sunday:
    7 a.m. until 10 a.m. (Family Hours)
    10 a.m. until 6 p.m. (Adults Only)
    6 p.m. until 9 p.m. (Family Hours)


What if I am pregnant?
While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. If you are pregnant, please notify our Spa Concierge when you make your appointments so that they can offer guidance. Also certain treatments may require a doctor’s authorization.

What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify our Spa Concierge before scheduling your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, on any medications, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concerns at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your service provider immediately.

To whom are maternity treatments offered?
Maternity treatments are only available to expectant mothers who are past their first trimester. A physician’s statement authorizing services is required before receiving treatments.
